Has about 1350 miles on it, brand new high quality tires and fork seals. Was just serviced with full fluid changes. 2012 Triumph Thruxton. Has race exhaust, mapping, full Ikon suspension front and rear, air box remove...I have all stock parts, except for the original tires. $4500

For the first time in my life I now have a quiver (ok, well it's only 2 but hey...). I've been on bikes my entire life but never owned a cruiser. A number of years back I figured when I retired it would be nice to have a bike made for the big tour and comfy as a couch. Well, last month I pulled the pin on work and yesterday I got to fulfill one of my dreams. 2014 Thunderbird LT with 10,000km. 1700cc's of purring love. I am so stoked!

I put Ikon progressive race springs in the front. You have to replace the fork seals when you open the forks and put the new suspension in.

Sweet cruise Gary; Maybe we should have a Mag Moto Summit next summer. Everyone ride to Wyoming. Then the fun starts...

Rode the fz1 around town the other day. Prolly done until april.

Yeah gretch, I kinda glossed over the full suspension comment. Put bigger springs in mine as well, cuz I ain't built like the average Japanese guy. Sweet deal, still need pics for sake of beauty.

Thanks, and right you are Djongo! Pencil me in, I'd love to take her south.

weather here supposed to crap out by tomorrow (possible snow for a couple of days), though up to plus 9C saturday so today may be last day for me too this year.. crossing fingers for Sat being warm enough to melt the snow

Can you not see the pics I posted? PM me your email if not.

I am only 185 lbs, so I didn't put them in because of over powering the other ones...it was just that the stock springs are short single stage springs with a big spacer inside. The progressive race springs are much nicer in the twisties.

I’d be down to help host that, coming from the dual sport, adventure riding angle.

FKNA, the seed has been sown.

Lots of great asphalt and dirt in and around the greater YSNP/GTNP area.

And lots to see and do. Also, you can rent a moto in town if you'd like to join in but can't ride all the way. HD's and whatnot. I got a friend with a bmw 1200 and a 700. They need someone to exercise them...

It's a 20 hour ride for me, but it sounds like fun.

Nice one! There's a sweet carrot if I say so myself. The idea of riding some other folks bikes is cool too.

May I throw out a potential month (least chance of blizzard on the way)??? Sure it's presumptuous of me. Sorry. July?

...and there's nothing like riding by a roadside bison on a motorcycle to truly give a sense of their size.

    Maggot motorcycle stoke thread

Busting up a bison jam on a motorcycle feels a little like dropping into a line. It should go right, it could go wrong, it feels good when it does go right.

Sure, July sounds good to me. 4th of July weekend will be busy, but would give people time to travel and enjoy their days here.
27th if we want to give people time to recover from the 4th, and have a weekend to get away.

July is a bit early. Lotsa negatives: fucktons of traffic, kids are out of school, tourist season is in full ramp up by the 4th.

I'd suggest a bit later like aug/sept.; less people, prices go down later, beauty weather usually. This fall was spectacular.

Dirt up in the GV's or bigholes, grassy lake road, rko rd.. Shadow, ditch creek...

Speed straightaways or twisties on Teton pass, Pine crk or togwotee pass. Easy rolls in the park.

And oh yeah, howzabout a lap around the block? Jxn-Alp-SwanV-Vic...2 mtn passes, a great set of high speed turns by Palisades and then a run beside the Snake, all in a coupla hrs.
