    Maggot motorcycle stoke thread

Jumping into a full re-wire on the wife's CB. Pray for me.

Here is a bit of why it's needed:

Those Home Depot blue connectors were put in by me just to get it running because the PO had just electrical taped wires together, even the main fuse. Wires straight on the fuse blade, e-tape to hold it. The bike would randomly die because the fuse connection would pop loose. Tons of melted connections in the original harness.

Headlight bucket looks even worse.... :/

Nice nutmeg I bet that was a fun race to see in person, I had a blast just watching it on tv! Although I was bummed to see Tomac do so poorly.

I LOVE watching races in person.
Smell of race fuel, sound of crowd, sun, dust and people watch.
    So much fun!

The whole stadium gasped when Tomac fell.

Just finished about 700 miles through Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs. Managed to take back roads nearly the whole way except the last 100 when I just jumped on the intersrate.Click image for larger version.

I've been rooting for Eli ever since I realized his pedigree. Hopefully he's as dominant as his dad was in his field.

Here is my plated KTM 300 on a very early AM tree cutting run on a seldom used trail. It's open to mountain bikes but not moto's. Hence the tape on my plate😀

Edit: didn't mean to post my boy's pic

You have no idea how strong! He was two then. Now he is four, and for the last week I've been sporting a black eye, And not from an accident. He meant to hit me when we were wrestling.

The bike is almost back together after new suspension bearings this winter. That and the new Vforce 4 reeds upgrade. It's an older 2007 model, but with all the suspension and motor work, I'm not inclined to upgrade quite yet. The 2008 and newer 2T bikes are electric start, but I'd probably yank the starter and big battery and substitute a smaller battery for D.C. Led or hid lights

Finally got the wife's CB rewired. Just took a visit from my FIL who's an electrical engineer to take me through some parts I had trouble with. Also, he taught me how to solder so that was cool.

The upside was that the wife got to go on a Moto ride with her dad. Pretty cool I think.

(They were both too excited to ride to wait for a pic! )

How do you like your Mille? They always seemed like sweet rides. Especially for canyon riding.

Love it, bought it new in 03 and it has been completely trouble free. Comfortable for approx 200 miles and super stable.

Even on my "comfortable" Z1000, gen 3, I only last 2-3 hours because of the lack of wind protection. Forces of natures are always out to get me!! I put an aftermarket windscreen on it, which made it better for my chest, however now wind hits my helmet weird and whistles much louder.

I've had two gsxr 750s, 2006 and 2011, that were about 2-3 hour bikes as well. Actually, my legs give out much sooner, but they are so much fun that you want to push through the pain.

A bit more than that, need my license and haven't bolted in 5 years. It's my arms, especially the one I crushed, that do me in.

    Maggot motorcycle stoke thread

So a friend was getting rid of this beauty. It hadn't been getting much use and was barely running. An hour of happy labour and $5.00 of carb cleaner and she is purring.

So excited - haven't had a bike since before the first ankle biter came along 8 years ago. She loves it

Still blows a tiny bit of blue on start up. Probably tear it down this winter. Needs some new rubber stat. Any recommendations for some inexpensive street legal mx tires? Mostly be riding gravel roads and hitting fishing spots.

Need to work on the suspension soon. Set up very soft. Added some air to the front (as far as I can tell there wasn't any. Rear I need to get to.

Forgot how satisfying it is to take something apart. Put it all back together and have it work.

Plus riding. Riding bikes is awesome.

Finally got out for my first longer ride of the season, heading down through Cody, stopping for some turns off Sylvan Pass, and then back up the long way through Yellowstone. Saw a bunch of critters (those bison calves sure are cute), but I should have brought my heated jacket liner (and I really need to get around to fixing my heated grips). Oh, and naturally, I almost dropped the bike in the deeper-than-expected stone at the parking area pictured.

I'm running a 50/50 street legal tire both front & rear on my KTM 450. I've been happy with the performance, and they're pretty darn affordable.

Thanks for that- kenda seems to be a nice price point - I have been looking at their track master tires. More of a dirt tire.
