I've been following the Mecum classic bike auction and see my first ride Honda C110 didn't keep up with inflation. And whats with a couple of 1960's Suzuki 250 Hustler selling for over 6 grand?
Trials bikes are holding value.

Fuck, first ride of the year yesterday and the KTM started running shitty, lost power, then seized up. Never a good time but this is a particularly inconvenient time, I'm moving long distance in less than a month. And conditions in the lower desert hills are really nice right now

Did you put all new gas in? Did you put stabil in the tank before winter?

Did you take out a second on your home for KTM repairs?
This ain't gonna be cheap.

250 four stroke won't seize on 6 month old gas, even the crap we get nowadays.
Now low oil, coolant or partially clogged jets (happens from sitting all the time to people) causing a lean condition will kit it quickly.
Sorry for your loss.

I'll dig in to the top end and see what that looks like, but not gonna go deeper than that myself any time soon. Bummed, but buying used dirt bikes is a gamble

Anyone planning on going to MotoGP in Austin?
My schedule recently opened up that weekend and I’m contemplating on booking a hotel and flight.
I think I’ll wait until a little closer to the date to see what happens with Coronavirus situation, but looks like a good weekend to go.

It has been in a few rallies and ridden with some aggression, and been Arse over Tea Kettle a few times. Not a full rally spec bike. But a decent build with some nice additions over the stock 570. I think it will have a nice retirement in my relatively timid hands.
Switching the road book to an iPad mini, and making it road legal.

Google maps says you might be talking about some spot in NV? If so, you’re off by a bit to the west. Like a state border or so.
Calling it a trail might be a stretch but mine weren’t the the first set of tires in there. Found a few drainages like this, some had some bigger rocks and moves but didn’t grab any pics. I’ve really been enjoying the slow tech lately.
