That's how it seems to be on the east cost but from what I've seen you are allowed just about anywhere out west.

Agreed. Dirtbiking has turned into a huge PITA in this area. Used to be that any powerline maintenance road was fair game - no longer. Haven't owned a rock hopper in many moons, and likely won't.

Hey McP: those poles show up yet?

Is that in western Nebraska? There is a road that goes north off the interstate into nowhere. I love driving it and seeing Johnson Ranch ten miles west, five miles down the road, Steves Ranch ten miles east. Your closest neighbor is twenty miles away.

Don't have a digital of by bike but this gives you the idea.

Took it out for a 65 mile trip to break her in last friday when it was 80.... damn I miss riding. Can't wait for the ground to dry up so I can start heading off road.

Flatlander#2, I was gonna say it looks like a stretch of California Highway One somewhere between Sonoma and San Fran in late August or September. Just a guess.

EDIT: I really want to live in a pretty rural area and have a dual purpose bike, cruising fast on the main roads but still being able to have fun on some gravel/dirt roads or trails just seems like such a great way to see some cool sights(other than skiing/hiking/biking).

No, its in California actually. Don't know the exact road, but it's somewhere between the ocean and the Sierras east of Big Sur.

edit: in the beginning of Novemeber
BTW:California is heaven for motorcycle riding.

    Man, tru dat.

If you didn't know, I live in Colorado.

Quite a few years ago, I got a ride out to Los Angeles to pick up my new bike, an FZ700. I spent some time out there riding the bike up PCH to San Fran and then East back to CO. That ride was amazing, and something I'll never forget. Thanks for the cool pic. Love the twisties awaiting you. Good shit.

My ride. Yamaha vstar silverado. Its been a great bike for touring around on. Not tooo expensive, looks great, and fun as all hell to ride. IMHO, not many bikes (with the exception of Honda and BMW) can touch Yamaha for quality.

    I'd go for a Duc Monster 620.

Currently own a Honda CBR600 F2, but I haven't ridden it in over a year. It's not legal, and I'm pretty sure it'd get stolen the second I brought it home, not sitting in the back of my truck. Shitty neighborhood, so I keep it on base until I figure out what I'm going to do living-wise (may move).

1974 Kaw HD 750 2 stroke. I doubt that there are that many of these still around. It's been sitting in the b/yard waiting for some disposable income that doesn't get spent on ski/fishing addictions
