you don't see that bog until you're right on top of it. I did the same thing a few years ago, but I was solo, took me a while to extract myself.

Rode section 4 ( 3 weeks ago ) from Reddington to Barnard and dirty dog back down after a loop day out of MRV. Great ride with a mix of some real technical off road riding. Hope ur well MPPG and we should hook up and do the northern section of NEBDR.

Wow, this might sell some bikes for Yamaha. I used think Chris Birch was good at tossing big bikes around but this guy is on another level! Goes to show what kind of skills you can build with a trials background.

I’ve always wanted an Aprilia V4. Can’t happen right now but that photo is going to get that itch going again. Rode a 2014 Tuono once. Probably the best bike I’ve ever been on. Melting connectors be damned.

I’ve had 10 bikes total, mostly Japanese naked bikes. worked as a vintage moto mechanic for a while. Haven’t had a bike in 2 years. Tempted to get another bike for next season, but I’m not so sure I want to deal with all the cell distracted drivers these days. Might think about just doing track or getting a 250 dirt bike.

Get both; Tuono V4 and 250 two-stroke - best of all worlds.

I'm not familiar with melting connectors on the Aprilias. Maybe there were some teething problems on the early V4 1000s? The 1100s seem to be rock solid.

This should help stoke the fire:

And since we're on the subject of two-strokes, this from the weekend, getting in some Cascade alpine riding before the snow flies. #brownpow

Street bike for street, and a 2 stroke for the woods. This guy has the right idea.

And then there's the other Aprilia for dedicated track work. This one joined the stable earlier this year.

Clear and warmish weather and minimal snow in the mountains motivated me to ride out to some northern NM villages today. Might be the last ride of the year.

They look like the MotoZ Adventures or RallZ. A long-wearing tire with questionable road manners. It's great off the tarmac, though.

Nailed it, MotoZ Adventure. Not much time on them obviously, but they are really wander-y at low speeds in town, 25-30. Thinking maybe I have to much pressure in them, need to experiment.
Couldn't find enough snow free dirt here to see how good they are off road
