PNW Surfers

With the ski season winding down its time for some trips to the coast. I’m kinda new around these parts and don’t know many other surfers. I live in Olympia so I mainly surf Westport area but am down for trips anywhere along the OR/WA/BC coast. Just curious about who all surfs on this board. I know allot of people from Seattle/Bellingham and BC make the long trip down to Westport. If the weather sucks and you don’t want to camp, people are welcome to crash at my place; just PM me. Good old OlyWa:

Breakfast: New Moon Cafe

Lunch: Fuji's- Kamikaze Roll, Tonkatsu, and teri chicken

Dinner: 4th Ave Tavern or the Eastside- Obsidian, Mirror Pond, Sierra, Anchor Steam, what have you.

I gained 30 lbs when I was living there. I came home to Hawaii and all my friends called me the white whale, but shit, it was worth it. Great town.

I'm also fairly new and about 40 minutres north of ya on the Kitsap peninsula.

I havent surfed in a little over a year though (since I moved up here) but I would be down for a trip sometime.

Actually, I was thinking of heading out to the coast this weekend but looks like the swell is pretty anorexic in my neck of the woods tomorrow... 4 feet at 7 seconds?

I'd rather look at dorca whales.

The Straits are breaking today but likely will not anymore this week or in the next 10 days. Long term forecast not good for Neah Bay either (fat onshore flow). Fog on the water during high pressure. I'm laying my money on Northern Oregon with a stop by Annie's in Astoria on the way down.

I will be in Belfair, WA from the 2nd to the 10th of Sept. Anyone interested in gettin' together for a surf session with me and my brother during that period? A bro'ed board or 2 would be much appreciated seeing as how I am not going to pay the oversized baggage fee to fly my board/s out for the one day of surfing that I have alloted during this trip. Not to thrilled about renting a board but if I have too I will. Bringin' my wetsuit and booties so that is covered. PM me to exchange info if you are interested.
