He consistently woke me up around 7:30 for his morning walks and loved to roll in the snow and lay in the sun. We got to take him on a yurt trip about a month before and he did great. He got me through some tough times and kept my head on straight through the rest of it.

I don't frequent it much because it's too damn painful, especially because I knew I had a very old golden living in my house, and simple odds said he was not going to live much longer, even though he was pretty spry (until the very end).
