Neufox, I am so sorry for your loss of Rocky. As hard as it was I'm sure you know you did the right thing for him. Peace to you and yours and Rocky.

L2S, that's so awful to hear. I am wishing you and your family peace today while you go through an incredibly hard time. Remember all the good years with your Gunther today. What a good boy.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Vibes L2S, it's the worst part of having furry friends. You have to take solace in that you provided him with the best life and he loved living with you.

Took a moment today to drink my after lunch tea in the chair by the fireplace with dog in my lap. He's enjoying the snuggle. Hug the ones you love. However, tea is almost gone and I have shit to do.

Thanks guys, he is wiped out. Just water, no interest in food. Vet comes tomorrow at 2pm. Maybe lift one to Gunther if you think of it later.

Sorry for the loss of your buddy.

I watched a documentary on Prime tonight, “We Don’t Deserve Dogs.” Heart tugging, but also smile inducing. I’ve gotten twenty years of dogs from this message board, Nelly, Chompers, to Willow.

Thanks guys, he left this world peacefully, surrounded by the people and kitties that loved him. My poor daughter is crushed, as she liked to say Gunther was her dog, when in fact he was a family dog and loved us all. Really quiet around here without Maya and Gunther. Bjorn has huge shoes and hearts to fill, but his silly puppiness is up to the task I am sure.
Oddly, I feel like a large part of myself has died with Gunther and Maya's departures. I hope the empty feeling goes away in time.

Dogs leave a hole in our lives when they leave, but thankfully there’s always another willing the fill the job of the former. Bindi and Willow found us just after Chompers and Nelly left us… https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...light=Chompers
