    Sexy Beast

Rented this last night, because the girlfreind hadn't seen it. Very disturbing performance by Ben Kingsley. Superb.

DVD (these things are so cool) has a commentary track by the producer Jeremy Thomas and Kingsley.

"oh yeah............bloody 'ell...........I'm sweatin' here..........roastin'......boillin'.........bakin g............swelterin'...........s'like a sauna...........furnace...............you could fry an egg on my stomach............"

Screwed up flick, Kingsley like that friend you made a long time ago, and never want to see again but shows up at just the wrong time. Some pretty funny parts, in the film though.

Buddy of mine and I were just talking about this film the other night.

I went so far as to say that it was the only decent thing the director, Jonathan Glazer, ever did.

A bona fide UK gangster classic.

FWIW, the co-screenwriter, Louis Mellis, also penned 44 Inch Chest, another UK gangster classic also starring Ray Winstone.

I enjoy most of Sir Kingsley’s work, and this was no exception. Been some time since I’ve seen it, not sure if the wife has, so might be an opportunity to re-visit.

Haha, I was marveling at how cool DVDs were in the original post. I wonder if I got it at Blockbuster.
