Talking TR: Alpentaliscious turns, A gnarly sled ride & p0sIvIbEs for BC-Flow

This TR is brought to you by Beatbasement.com
Link here for live streaming: mms://win1.fast-serv.com/bb

Alpental served up the Snoqualmie Special today! Yesterday's I-90 closure & 31" in the last 48 hours might have had something to do with it, but despite the suffocating crowds on Chair 2, this will be one for the books. An unfortunate accident occurred about 12:30pm near the Elevator Shaft - more on that below including some gnarly sled action.

I divided the TR into two sections - 1. The bounty & 2. The Sled

    PART ONE - Today's bounty

    Going down?

    BC-Flow

    Graupel

    BC-Flow

Squirrel drops the first part of a short double (just outside of photo)

Graupel doing his best K2 marketing

BC-Flow responds with his Ant campaign

    BC-Flow milking the last pillows

    Some pillow rad pillow lines

    Graupel dropping down a floor

At least for the early C2 lineups, there was entertainment. Within a 3 min span, at least three chairs bucked people off or people jumped off after catching their tips in the snow

more scenics from the looney BC, falling away

PART TWO: The Long (and intense!) Sled Home
But now for the bummer of the day. While stomping cliffs in the Elevator area, BC-Flow heard a 'pop' upon landing. After careful evaluation and contacting Patrol, a decision was made to call in a sled - which would prove to be one heck of a Gnarly ride. Though he could put decent pressure on his leg, with the excessive powder and wind drifts- we didn't want to enhance the injury. A possible MCL injury is the concern- let's all keep BC in our positive Vibes & Thoughts this week.

The following photos have been posted with the permission of BC-Flow and asked if I'd document the rescue (while carrying a pair of Ants & 3 pair poles)

Alpy Pro Patrol considering optimal route selection down a very steep & nasty Elevator

The next step was a bit unnerving to watch - as this gully had to be crossed

Note that BC-Flow's sled is behind the trees out of picture. Tail patroller in view holding rope to sled

A ramp was 'stomped out' to bridge the terrain

BC-Flow, still smiles & in good spirits. Your positive attitude will go a long way in helping you to a speedy recovery. Looking forward to making turns with you soon!

Shout outs to the Alpy Pro Patrol- you guys deserve huge props for your efforts & professionalism!

and as if the end to our day wasn't a large enough kick in the balls.....But we all agreed a great day was had & shared despite the set backs. Posivibes to BC-Flow for a quick recovery (and hoping it's just a bad sprain).

Oh my, BC-Flow, sure hope you're gonna be a- ok!! Here's positive vibes coming your way! You sure had scads of marvelous hucking and ripping Elevator goodness , as recorded by our great nut gatherer, we're pulling for ya to be back it in short order.

Wow, kudos to patrol for one mighty technical sled trip out of that nasty terrain(delicious under normal circumstances)

    Yay! I'm not alone!

And frankly, I don't believe BC is hurt. Linemen don't get hurt.

Positive vibes, man. I hope the tests come out ok and it's just a sprain or mild tear.

    Props ...

Props to Mom nature for serving a sweet dish,
to Rodent for scouting the sick lines,
to BC Flow for dropping some nice air and keeping good spirits,
and to the Alpy patrol for sled work. Truly impressive!

Speedy recovery wishes for you BC Flow.
