If the airplane on the treadmill is from Allegiant does that make a difference in the outcome?

If you want the Allegiant treadmill, that costs extra.

And if your want the treadmill to run on time, well, take out a second mortgage.

So if there are four rats running in the opposite direction as the treadmill is turning, does it change the velocity of the treadmill?

Haven't watched the video yet
Watched video. I never followed the thread closely. But it always seemed obvious to me the plane would take offLast edited by k2skier112; 03-22-2021 at 07:17 PM. Reason: watched video

A jet plane on a large treadmill
Thread title specifically mentions JET PLANE on a TREADMILL, homeboy up thread posts video of a prop plane on a conveyer belt. Complete FAIL.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a jet or turbo prop. Adam has this question all wrong. Why the hell would you measure the ground speed of an air plane? You don’t measure a cars velocity by air speed. So of course the conveyor’s computers would be programmed to match the AIRSPEED based on the thrust being created. More thrust equals more conveyor speed. It’s the only way this question makes sense

Why doesn’t a box fan blow itself over?
Because the thrust is less than the physical force required to move the mass of the fan.
In other words, For the fan to be able to knock itself over in the first place, it requires a mass and also a force of unequal vector greater than the mass and gravitational force that makes the fan stationary.
I get why the plane takes off. However with a treadmill capable of fully supporting the plane you could get that sucker stationary.
What happens if you put a powerful fan on a skateboard on a treadmill?

No fair. If you're gonna weigh in on team skid you gotta be ready to make the treadmill more powerful than the plane and really commit to the infinite belt acceleration. Otherwise you might as well join the sobriety thread. Quitter.

I bet a box fan on a treadmill falls over. And then the server crashes.
