Depends if they want to stay in town or the mountain village. In town the New Sheridan Hotel is the gold standard and is far more appealing than the village to me.

As far as food. It's tougher to find a bad meal in T-ride than a good one, Honga's Lotus Petal (970-728-5134) is my favorite joint in town.

I went last winter...one of the best trips I've ever been on... It's hard to find affordable places to eat but, we really liked it at this place called (I think) Cucina de Luz? or something of that nature. Great food and good prices. It's on the main street in town. Also, Fat Ally's BBQ was great. ..have a great trip!!

We've been to Telluride the last 2 summers for the Bluegrass Festival, and spend our time camping for 5 days or so either in Town Park or Warner Field. Seeing as how your clients are probably looking for something a bit more "lush" - I second Truth's choice of the New Sheridan for in-town lodging, and have an option for Mountain Village.

This year, we were lucky enough to buddy up with some people at the Festival who were staying at the Telluride Mountain Lodge. They invited us up one morning to hang out at the pool - we showed up, and who else but Allison Krauss is stitting there having a drink... Nice place, to say the least.

    Family T-ride

I'd recommend The Camel's Garden over the New Sheridan if the trip includes kids. Allred's at the top of the gondola is probably the best restaurant for your client.

For a spendy place with nice rooms, a view, spa, nice gym, pools, ski in and out....try The Peaks at Mountain Village.

The Gondola takes you into town for free, you don't need to drive anywhere, and not an issue going to dinner, etc. Lift tickets (for skiing) are pretty pricey though.

Tons of HQ places to eat....good stuff from every price range. I agree with the Honga's tip. Crunchy Rolls, and Mojitos - you can't go wrong.

One time I was at Honga's sitting next to Ace Kvale. Jonny Moseley stopped over to say hello.

Another time during Bluegrass I was eating a few tables away from Sam Bush.

And this one time, I ran into Hev and his pall Billy at the bar.

Sorry I don't have any pictures.
