TR: Got pow? BAKER 11/2/05
Went up to baker today, left bellingham at like 1230. Upon arrival, sickness was unavoidable. There is at least 4-6 feet of snow up on top of pan dome. Rather heavy for a utah boy, but impressive nontheless.

Nice way to get out there in the heavies...
Still, I know last year was miserable up there, and we got more than our share of the goodies down south (I felt bad for you folk). But that was last year, do not be so selfish this season--share a little, dammit.
When you get the snow in the PacNW, we get squat in SoCal...north storm tracks good for you, bad for us. So stop taking all the snow, share a little, mang.

I know you've seen the winter storm warnings too, but I am soooooooo happy I'm posting it anyway! (Thank you, Hop.)
NINE TO SIXTEEN INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE WEST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES AND IN THE PASSES FROM MIDDAY TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING. ANOTHER TEN TO EIGHTEEN INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS IN THE MOUNTAINS WILL BE GENERALLY RANGE BETWEEN 2500 AND 3500 FEET.I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

Mother Nature Accounts Payable Department: Hello, is Pacific Northwest available?
PNW: This is PNW.
MNAP: This is Mother Nature accounts payable. It appears we overcharged you for the 2004-2005 season. You are due a credit of 250 inches of snow.
PNW: Sweet.
MNAP: We will immediately apply this credit and it should appear on your statement as such.

In other news, this storm is providing nice 6 foot rollers in Haro Strait. Andrews Bay reef looks like a mini Cortez Bank. I'm going to go check out Grrrr's old local beach!
