slightly pains me that Kinkade's artwork is being mocked, ridiculed and incorporated into other artist's artwork, such as with this Kinkade peep show displayed in Seattle: http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/arc...kade-peep-show but perhaps it will help the value of Kinkade originals.

Shit... read this thread about twenty minutes ago. Then went on to some other sites and half of the stupid banner and sidebar adds were trying to hock Kincade crap to me.

I can't tell if I am saddened or buoyed by this take on Kinkade's artwork. On one hand, I find it entirely disrespectful to mar this late man's work, depicting acts of destruction in the idyllic settings he created. On the other hand, it may introduce a new generation to his work.

Proud of my 7 year-old son for not only choosing a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle (recommended age is 12+), but for also for selecting this Kinkade. This particular painting reminds us of a cabin we rented last summer on Lake Chelan, WA. And FYI - they have a great selection of Kinkade and other artists' jigsaw puzzles at Blue Highway Games in Seattle).
He and his brother are taking Sunday lessons at Alpental - snow has been great up there this year!

Much like Kinkade's painting style, Hank's trolling was elegant and masterfully done. Dsm could learn a lot from him.

cool Thomas Kinkade Artwork for skiing
A fellow Kinkade collector and colleague shared this article with me. Thought I would post to the forum as I recall there being some Kinkade fans.
Article discusses his upbringing in California. Many of you familiar with his art will find it hard to believe he didn’t grow up in the mountains, let alone a ski resort. It’s always been amazing to me that he wasn’t a skier himself - his best work truly captures the magic and essence of being in the mountains.

It’s spelled Kinkade, not Kincaid (though that’s a common misspelling).
