oh god please let it snow! Thats the kind of forecast I need. I leave for searchmont tomorrow for a few days and its looking pretty bleak they arent even 100 percent open.
Bohemia's website even said they were closed the last few days, kind of hard to have "college week" when your not open.
The site these are from is www.johndee.com kind of stumbled acrossed it one day. Apparently he is from Calumet and a meteorologist who really likes to snowmobile so he runs this sweet ass site in his free time. Forecasts seem to be way more accurate than anything else I have found.
Heres to a year filled with lots of pink and yellow maps!...tricks deserve applause, style deserves respect

First day at bohemia was friday, knee deep powder in some places, hill is a little more than half open. Still VERY rocky in places, it looks like i skied over a landmine, oh well thats why they are beater skis.
lovin the forecast

streak is over
well yesterday was the first day without any snow since Dec 28. Ended up setting a record for snowfall in January, 112 inches. What a sweet month of skiing that was, every time i went to bohemia there was new snow except last thursday, so much powder so little time. I still seem to be finding rocks and have only taken out the new skis at bohemia for 3 runs before retuirning them to the safety of my trunk after hitting a bunch of rocks.
here is a swee pic i got of my buddy, the camera angle makes it look like he is launching but the jump really wasnt all that big....tricks deserve applause, style deserves respect
