    looks like a 9" storm total at Collins. I guess it's not quite enough... We're getting another storm on Saturday or Sunday apparently.

    Actually, they're now calling for 4-8 more due to some unexpected activity. Verified 6-12" at the cottonwood resorts they say. If I can get most of this damn lab report done now, I might head up there in the morning.

    They=Not me.

    Weather Service extended the Winter Storm Warning through 4am based on the lake effect band now forming over the Great Salt Lake, however it's WAY north, up by Promontory Point and IMHO won't bring more significant big snow to the Cottonwoods...

    The Pipeline Bowl patch at the 'Bird may be a good bet with about a 3-4' base serving up a foot of new. Bring your rock boards.

    EDIT: Some pow turns on this could be fun.

    Got called off at as I was driving into work at 6:30am, turned around and frantically drove to Alta. Started skinning at 7:25am, got as far as the cat shack (100 yards). Then got called back into work!! This was just as SpreadEagle was showing up with his friend.

    The 8" they got last night was condensed down to about 4-5 at the base of Alta.

    Coming from the guy who won't have cartilage in his knees and hips in ten years after running sub 5 minute miles downhill at Alta. And incurring multiple tri-mal fracture/dislocations of the ankle in the process.

    Nobody's getting hurt when you're just out for exercise skinning around.

    Funny thing is, I did drive up the canyon with my boots on. That's what any honest twitcher does. To do otherwise is just not right.

    It's the Wasatch. Gotta jump outta the car prepared to run and fight for first tracks. You should know. You're the guy who stands in line for an hour for first friggin chair. How silly is that?

    I think this banter could perhaps be cluttering TGR forums, we'll continue this discussion in Moab.

    I find the banter rather humorous. I can just picture you two skinning up a track and going off on one another. Priceless.

    Oh, when you going to be in Moab. I'll be there next week for work. Floating the Colorado and a couple days of mountain biking.

    How are you managing to get Xover down to Moab. He does know there aren't many bolts to clip doesn't he?
