Bacon here in the US sucks. Skinny and either tasteless or smothered in something or other.

Now good old British smoked back bacon, thats another story even better with an egg thrown in.....

That Hemplers center cut looks like the crack cocaine of bacon. I want.

    Bump.

The wife doesn’t like my bacon game in the kitchen, splittersplatter all over the stove and oven bacon makes the whole house smell like bacon (apparently this is a bad thing?)...

So I’ve been cooking it on the grill. Load the cast iron up with bacon, place on the grill on medium high heat. You get the crisp like you would on the stovetop, it cooks evenly like the oven, takes less time than the oven, easy to clean up... game changer.

it does make a fucking mess so i cook a couple packs all at once on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350

pour the grease off into a bowl put bowl in the freezer and its way easier to deal with

Thats enough bacon for a few weeks, so it keeps in the freezer in a tuperware

in the morning i got instant bacon for my bacon n egg n cheese sandwich

the local sausage & meat shop makes some really nice peppered bacon

Anyone ever try that Lucky's Market honey orange bacon? That stuff was delicious and I miss it every morning.

    Bacon appreciation thread

320 degs for 8mins, flip for 4 more. Longer for thick bacon. Works great for sausage patties too. I expect links as well.

Dawn power wash spray is your friend for air fryer cleaning (and other stuff). The sprayers are refillable w/regular dawn at 1:10 or so ratio.
