One thing..... At least the Reddits blocks those of your choosing in a way that you never, ever have to read their shit again.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
"Happiest years of my life were earning < $8.00 and hour, collecting unemployment every spring and fall, no car, no debt and no responsibilities. 1984-1990 Park City UT"
I find my experience really depends on the particular sub reddit I'm on. r/Portland is snarky and mean but often funny. When I lived in Spokane, I found r/Spokane was mainly friendly and helpful. r/TGRrefugees will hopefully be an accurate distilling of the padded room: snarky, helpful, funny, sometimes mean
Reddit reply structure is awful and totally useless for threads that go longer than a few dozen posts.
Well, we are all doooooomed anyway: the universe expected to decay in 10^78 years, much sooner than previously thought.

Yeah, that shit works for current events and discussions with hundreds of people, but it is totally useless for any sort of long form discussion or for actually starting to recognize and get to know different posters.
It is also useless for cataloging knowledge. You can't have any ongoing thread with added photos/media like the mount your own fucking skis thread or somebody's bike or car build threads.
Reddit seems like a rabbit hole I wouldnt want to go down. I generally ignore it whenever a link comes up in search results. It has always seemed hard to follow even from a question down to subsequent replies.
Damn, it worked! Go Yanks!
Oh look. I can actually get on and look at some threads.Reddit is ok, but, yeah, doesn't lend itself well to long term threads.

Fkna that is sexy. This old pile cant rock super wide heavy boards anymore. I used to be good I swear
WOOF!!
In a perfect world, that’s what the Jerantulas would look like. The prototypes were much more burly.
I still call it The Jake.
Apostrophe test
Don’t
I still call it The Jake.
Well shit. If we cant get over the basic text posting issues, we will never be a great forum once again.
I still call it The Jake.
It seems to be quite selective. I have noticed there are multiple posters that have no problems with apostrophes. Alas, it would seem that I’m not one of them.
Well, fuck me. It looks like I'm one of the chosen ones after all. Giggity.
Doh!
I think apostrophe acceptance depends on which platform is used for the post. I’ve just stopped using apostrophes and i have to spell out numbers
All three of mine were on iPhone.
tapatalk seems to have no issues with apostrophes but desktop hates em.
at least for me
