    NFL 2025-2026 Birds Repeating? FLY!

as we turn the page post SB, today is parade day - to the victor go the spoils! next, draft and free agency coming up.....some early news: russ to Gints? Aaron to steelers? Miles or Maxx to philly? (make it happen howie) - NFC.......vikes keeping darnold? 49ers recover? redskins improve? Lions defense back? Dallas miss playoffs again? i could see my iggles returning to SB for several years.....maybe one of the most stable organization in football? (yeah i'm biased) AFC? who knows......do the chiefs actually make improvements? Reid staying? (horrible SB, zero adjustments)......who can challenge Bills/Ravens? seems like the same ole teams. for now though - E-A-G-L-E-S......EAGLES!

Coach of the Year Kevin O'Connell says the Vikes don't want to mortgage their future on a Darnold free agent contract and they don't want to franchise tag Sam for $40 million either. So ah, a weird situation having a regular season baller Pro Bowl QB who gets season ending yips when it matters most

I feel like 2025 is the year the Deshaun Watson trade really starts to work out for my Brownies.

cinnepa, as optimistic as they get. Good for you dood.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I’m seeing the Browns are tempted to go all in on A-Aron. Seems on par with the team vision

Jolted from a deep sleep last week from a dream (nightmare?) in which it was week one and the bills had re-signed amari cooper and von miller without signing anyone else. Uncomfortable few seconds there before I snapped back to reality.

And here’s to hoping this is the season Bryce Young takes that Great Leap Forward. Had written him off before seeing those late season flashes of brilliance. This optimism will probably just hurt me.

For the 2025 season the NFL is replacing the first down chain gang with an electronic measurement system. The spot of the ball will still be determined by the officials so the electronic system—for now—only tells where the line to gain is, not where forward progress ended. The chain gang will still be there on the field as a backup

Right, why any team would want that diva to fuck up their locker room and undermine the coaching staff is beyond me.
In other news I'm not happy about what I'm reading about the 49ers negotiations with Brock.

Big Baller Beane has been busy. Shakir, Bernard, Ferguson, Rousseau, Josh and Von all got big news this week.

No doubt. Sorry Von. That’s all good, but for sure we need impact players at several positions so hopefully they can bring in some talent. If not, the newly minted billion dollar qb is going to be wasted.

Those Brock rumors were dismissed as BS.

A-A-Ron apparently “very close” to a deal with Pittsburgh. I’m so in on that, it will be great theater. Then again, the Steelers will probably take Jaxson Dart on day 2 and turn him into a multi-super bowl winner so, hey.

A-A-Ron, DK, and George Pickens on the same team will be comedy gold.

Couldn't happen to a nicer franchise either. George Pickens is the spiritual successor to Antonio Brown.

Ha! While the human in me was happy to see him turn his career around ahead of a free agency payday, I have to think he rose his star just enough last year to make this happen and will return to form in short order. I'm just glad the Browns don't have to experience that return to the mean with him. With A-a-ron seemingly headed to PIT, Darnold off the board and ATL saying they're keeping Cousins, that means that we can either celebrate a Flacco 2.0 era in CLE this fall or be the latest stop on the Justin Fields roadshow.
I still call it The Jake.
