Crazy Shit from my Home Town

Moved from Chicago to New Mexico 12 years ago but like to keep in touch.
    Found this:
    https://cwbchicago.com/2025/01/garba...killing-1.html
    And then this:
    https://cwbchicago.com/2025/02/video...n-chicago.html
Some thoughts; who the F robs an on-duty garbageman?!
Seriously, who does this?! I mean what are you hoping for? The dudes lunch money?
Talk about a messed up risk/reward ratio. You lose your life for what, $20 if you're lucky. Split between the two of you?
Best part of this story is that the headline basically writes itself:
"LOCAL GARBAGEMAN TAKES OUT THE TRASH"

Having spent a few decades in chirac i feel the pain. Used to be a fun city. Just don’t go where you don’t belong

    https://cwbchicago.com/

A sad website dedicated to the shitshow

It’s I bonds and probation. Not the immigrants. Little Pilsen was always chill. Something changed on the thug side.

PS? Toe land? Is that you?
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

    What changed?
    This is what changed:
    https://cwbchicago.com/2025/02/migra...dge-warns.html
I'm not talking about him being an illegal alien. That's a whole separate issue I'm not going to get into.
I'm talking about him being arrested 13 separate time in one year and still on the streets. A liberal "justice" system that's destroying another once-great city.

This site always paints a fairly sobering view of the city:

That place elected Lori Lightfoot as mayor, what did they expect to happen?

Great Dip Dish pizza though. When you don't fertilize the seedlings, you get a lousy crop.

What do you expect, when the state moto is "it fell of the truck".

Trump just pardoned Rod Blagojevich, who was on his show.

I think this tells us everything we need to know about Trump. Corruption is a feature not a bug.

A liberal, soft-on-crime mayor. A liberal, soft-on-crime legislature, who all appoint liberal, soft-on-crime judges. But a conservative President is the real problem.
    Spoken like a true liberal.

Always amusing to watch someone start a new internet tough guy thread and then shoot themselves in the foot and lose all credibility

Theyve been M/bold/end ...... to fatally shoot themselves in the foot. They keep popping out of the woodwork. We all knew ce, drider, gretsch, etc etc were complete morans. Roxtar is a bit surprising though. We'll see more though sadly

Love Chicago. Some of the best food in the country, and one the best collections of museums. I was just there.

What’s a fun day or two foot traffic wise from the downtown Marriott area? Certainly interested in the museum offerings, food, wine and beer, great places to smoke a joint, anything else ya got.

Crazy Shit from my Home Town

You’ve never been, so pick all or as many as you want, they’re all near each other.
    Museum of Science and Industry
    Art Institute
    Field Museum
    Shedd Aquarium
    Adler Planetarium
Lots of other smaller museums, but like I said, you’ve never been. That said, the Art Institute has iconic pieces, look it up, I’ll let you discover.
The architecture boat ride is amazing as well.
I love stuffed, so maybe hit the Giordano’s just N of the bean. Pan at Uno or Due would be cool for the history.
It’s a big city, so lots of other stuff, Opera, Symphony, Steppenwolf, Second City, Blues, etc etc
