The Guardian is saying that Thompson was separated from his wife -- first time I've seen that reported. I thought her comments to the media were kind of flat, I guess that explains it. Maybe there's a motive there?

^^^I had the same thought at first.
Then found out they’d been living in separate homes for like 6 years.

And there are reports the bullets and shell casings were engraved
The NYPD is investigating the possible message — which appears to include the words “deny,” “depose” and “defend” — engraved on live rounds and shell casings left behind by the masked assassin after he shot Thompson, 50, several times at about 6:46 a.m. before fleeing, the sources said.

Unitedhealthcare's Facebook page CEO memoriam receives 77,000 laughing emoji posts and only 6,000 sympathy posts before shut down. So, for every person bringing flowers, there's 12 who will go to the funeral to dance on the grave.

It's the perfect crime: any other time a rich guy gets murdered, everyone looks at the wife, especially if they're separated. This guy gets murdered, everyone assumes it was an angry customer.

A new suspected weapon. Action in the vid mimics the action the shooter used to reload in the snuff video. Can't get one legally, not that that ever stopped someone with a need.

Nah, I'd go with a ghost gun and hand made can before that contraption.

That VP9 is basically the same make and model as the Station Six which is available in the US market. They’re both descended from the Welrod pistol used by the SAS and OSS for assassinations during WWII and the Cold War. I read an article that had a link to a video about these pistols. It’s actually fascinating history, they’re super quiet with no action noise and very little muzzle noise. There’s no smoke until you manually open the chamber. Part of the reason that they’re so quiet is that they use rubber wipers in the suppressor tube along with normal metal baffles. The wipers need to be replaced after about ten rounds. The only reason these exist is to assassinate someone.

Assassination of people was the original use, yes. Now I believe they are marketed for assassinating animals.

Yeah, well the thing about that is this clown did absolutely nothing to take advantage of the weapons stealth. Wouldn't it make a fuck ton more sense to hide something like that in a paper bag or box and deliver an unseen, point blank shot

no gate to the development or home in a soulless middle to upper middle class burb development a few minutes in multiple directions from major freeways (94, 494, and not major state 55). Hit the road and go, and unlike NYC few cameras. Those neighborhoods are soulless evil of arguing HOA shits and otherwise cluelessness.

No cameras in the burbs? I guess you’re behind the times. Cameras are ubiquitous everywhere now.

This guy shot a defenseless guy in the back multiple times. Let's not get carried away thinking he's a rational human being. He's absolutely lost his fucking mind.

Theres many reasons to hate major corporations and their greed, but shooting people is certainly not the answer.

but its America, didnt Trump tell us he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and get away with it ?

The new Normal trend to shoot CEO's might be better than shooting kids and a lot of people seem to agree with it ??

Why do you think he’s lost his fucking mind?

Maybe he thought it was totally justified. This wasn’t some random lust killing, it was planned and purposeful.

Has a soldier that kills his enemy lost his mind?

Has a CEO that knowingly condones denial or delay of costly treatment that results in death lost his mind?

I’ve seen this comment before, especially in The Daily Beast. My thought was I doubted that author in particular had experienced a personal tragedy. Everyone reacts differently, but people have expectations for what the reaction should be. With a separation in the mix, that means complicated grief.

So there’s no security cameras in Maple Grove, an affluent suburb of MSP, of any kind? No traffic cameras, store security cameras etc?

I know that it’s probably a threat to your imagined omnipotence that someone disagrees with you but it’s [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji638][emoji640].

I was unfortunately there yesterday asshole, and those routes don’t have many businesses with cameras that would catch cars or people well. I’m sure there’s some Ring cameras or the like but I don’t know who or how quickly they’d turn it over (stores often turn over asap during business hours, getting from a home can take longer)
