April and May were better last year at LL and SS, especially SS. Lots of unreported new snow on Bye Bye bowl in May.

Fingers crossed that the storm track starts to deliver something to provide a couple weeks of reliable soft and fresh before the melting sets in.

I have some items to post for sale and in the current financial and political climate I would prefer to sell things locally.

Do you guys think it's appropriate to use this thread as a local gear swap?

If not, maybe I should start a Rockies gear swap page in gear swap?

Yeah I guess the reason I was asking is that I'd prefer not to even post it to the general public if I want it to stay local.

I'll think about it some more.

Haha... Too short for you I think...

177 cm katana 108 with pivot 15 GW mounted for a 25 mondo at +1cm.

1 other mount for attack demo.

    Pics to follow...

If you are willing to admit you skied something under 180cm, I will totally ship to you.

Or I will just wait until you come here in April?

FWIW, I skied with skykift a couple of years ago and the effective edge on my 177cm k108 was longer than his 192 mfree.

I.e. don't be afraid to admit you ski small skis.

    Pics...

I'd say the entire setup is 8/10 or better condition.

I'd like to get $400 cdn for the package.

    I know.

I enjoyed trying to keep up with you at Schweitzer a few years ago... Maybe we can do that again in April.

Anyone have any comments on the coverage at Castle this year? Pondering a trip in March, originally was thinking Revelstoke/Kicking Horse but considering Fernie/Castle instead.

I will be in Fernie with family and friends March 10 - 15, usually get a Castle visit while there.

Would enjoy meeting up with Fernie peeps if anyone is around

Re. Castle, froma friend who was skiing this last weekend.

Falling apart quickly. They had 2 inbound slides on the weekend so a bunch is closed.

TAFKALVS- No current Castle info I know of, but... a friend that lives in Fernie told me today the mountain has a great base, and past two days were spring conditions at their finest!

castle skied ok today. still chalky the top 600 vert particularly on the north facing little ridges. under that it was better on groomers depending on how you like your survival skiing. nice day though.
