    JH 24-25 POW TOWN STOKEZONE

    I'm Holding out for a Blizzicane...

    Are you ready for some Snowmageddon Insanity? All you gotta do is go get some.

    Maybe it's a sleeper day, maybe it's the Holiday shitshow, maybe it's just that one life changing magical trip down the Hill.

    But you'll never know what it's like until you join the race, get in the chase for that over the head blower, 60mph diamond dusted groomer or just the splendid solitude of First tracks.

    Or maybe Last Tracks. Don't let the sun go down on your ski life. Go take a lap or two and remember your world of ski fun.
    Find a friend and be the skier you still are. One lap could last a lifetime.

    Then it's all over with but the shoutin'. Cuz, you're gonna want to do it forever. And with any luck you will...

    So, my friends, I implore you:

    Do not go gentle into that Deep White
    Old legs Burn and Quiver at Close of day
    Beg, Cry, for the Ultralight

    Into the White Room, I'll show you The Way.

    Skiing is supposed to be fun. Tell your friends.
    I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

    For me, Skiing has been a super Fun lifestyle.

    I'm sure that under all of the hats we've worn in life, there's always been a ski cap beneath.

    I'm a winter person, that helps.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    La Nina season upon us, yes? My eternal hopefulness for an 800" season kicks in about now. We had a skinny one so beware, and fingers crossed.
    Everyone in the radius from 2BJenny to TeleHacker to WMD and thereabouts are a part of this distinct Teton Tribe. That's Kelly canyon, Pebble crick/the Pocatello Rock, Pine Crick and of course the Tetons proper and their westslope pow mecca Grand Targhee.
    You know who you are, check in, chime in, take a lap or a day and let's make some turns.
    Poetry, bro.
    I will be holding it down in SE ID starting in the new year. Greater WYDAHO thread is no more? Or this is an inclusive space?
    The Teton threads get renewed seasonally, just like getting your new pass with a photo in it, or putting fresh batteries in the beacon. Part of the passing of the seasons…
    Returning to JH for the first time in 25 years. Last trip was with the U of C ski club and we bussed it from Boulder. I recall nearly nothing from the trip skiing wise other than it was a slush fest and Corbett’s was closed. I remember kegs on the bus and drinking out of pots and cooking pans since no one brought cups. (No clue why anyone brought cooking utensils along??)
    Headed out for a Steep and Deep camp the last week of February. Heard good things and I have no friends left out there or who want to hit up side country, so playing it safe and want to maximize my time on the mountains and access lines I wouldn’t know about on my own.
    Stuck in the Midwest, so absolutely frothing for winter to come.
    I can't wait to see all of my winter homies.
    I have also entered the realm of self-employment and my boss tells me that I need to ski more and work during the dark hours
    Thanks Djongo for all you do bringing the stoke,
    I stayed at Elk Country Inn last year and it's a short walk to Djongo's place. Got the amenities, shuttle to the village, free breakfast, nice folks too.
    Any of the Town Square hotels are fine. Frankly, any hotel in town is fine, it’s dark at night.
    We like staying in town because there’s more to do, instead of staying in the village. Advantage of the village of course is that you basically don’t have to drive to skiing.
    The compromise is the aspens, but you’re kind of in between everything then.
