    Rides near Lakewood/Morrison?

Got some time to kill before Greensky tomorrow and have my bike. Any recommendations for a fun 10-15 mile ride of medium difficulty,no shuttling? Was thinking about checking out Green Mt.

Just FYI, all the trails in that area will be packed on a Saturday… I’d probably recommend Lair of the Bear with a lap on Rutabega, since it’s directional.

Also, grab a beer at Red Rocks Beer Garden before the show. Cool place, good beers and my buddy owns it.

Fire burned through *most* of the Red Mesa loop, but according to the fire map I saw, that was about it.

If you do Green mountain, be sure to go *up* Rooney and down Box O Rox

Apex today (odd day, the 13). So no enchanted to gut, but less busy in general. Most hikers stay on the hiker trails (which are biker only on even days).

Drive up 70 for a bit and hit Floyd. Shaded loops on the backside, and biker only downhill (all days).

With it being an odd day I'd skip Apex. If you like tech (no flow what so ever) but fun rock tech traverses and down Dakota Ridge>Mathew's Winters is right there so convienent. White Ranch is another option, bit of a grunt up Belcher Hill but great descents after the climb and not too far. Floyd Hill would be good as well and only 15 minutes west of RR. Lair of the Bear is also descent as is Mt Falcon. I'm not a huge fan of Stauton and you have to pay but to each their own.

But be advised - there is *nothing* on Dakota Ridge that would be considered "medium difficulty."

Did just that, fun stuff. Nice mix of flow with some techy bits. Y’all have some nice trails.

Planning to hit Rutabaga tomorrow before the Backyard Brawl and night 2 of GSBG.

You wouldn't know it by the way people around here talk about GM as being an absolute shit place to ride.

Be advised - LOTB is likely to be an absolute SHITSHOW tomorrow.

PM me and I'll let you in on a little "secret."
