Models with an 'auto-open at the end of the cycle' feature are the way to go. The ultimate in convenience.

My current DW does not do this but the next time I buy one it will. And a bright interior light too.

I have always turned off heated drying and just crack the door when it is done. Always seem dry after a few hours. Is your water hot? Humidity levels in your house high?

My newest one has a fan that runs if I don't crack door. Previous one was only a few years old, but couldn't get part to fix during pandemic.

I’m chuckling at the post suggesting just opening the door and letting it dry
