Peak Skis - Are those shitbags going out of business?

Anybody have any info on Peak Skis and those shitbags Bode Miller and Andy Wirth?

Looks like they may be winding down after once again convincing investors to part with their hard earned cash.

Seems like a lot of people like them, despite the bode keyhole BS factor. Heard some positive things here, blister, etc. Wish they had a little less camber but I hope they don't tank.

Saw a couple of dentists on SkiTalk debating it and thought I'd call them and ask what the deal is. Phones don't seem to be working so I'd say 'dem fucks are in the toilet where they belong.

You tried to call them to ask, or were you just going to hang up if they answered?

That’s a lot of fucks given there guy. The brand never appealed to me, but in the spectrum of the world, one of the more innocuous enterprises going.

Was going to call them to ask what the deal is about all their backordered shit and if they are still in business. Their phones don't appear to be working.

You have obviously never met Andy Wirth or you'd know what I mean.

Andy Wirth... the first guy to ever re-invent a ski resort's power supply is a piece of shit.

Oh.. and Bode... one of America's greatest ski racers of all time... is dumb as a rock.

I guess we should just all listen to buttahflake.

Wasn't Wirth in business with the Saudi prince who murdered the journalist, Khashoggi?

Also, I heard Wirth banged googledidoo's mom.

Strange then that we're almost into September and all their skis are shown as either out of stock or back ordered.

Yeah, shitty to see people dump on a potentially rad ski company. I don't really buy into the keyhole marketing hype, but I very well could have bought into a Bode ski-- Davenport joined in at one point as well. It's too bad they let their marketing faces overtake their reputations as skiers. Or-- what the hell do I know? Who knows why it didn't grow?

I could very easily buy a ski designed by Bode and Dav if I felt it had their souls in it.

I just never felt that. And I think that's why they're kind of fading into the horizon.

"More business than skier." and all that...

I was once hired to build Japan's first ski resort powered by solar energy. I emailed back and forth with Wirth for guidance and he was incredibly responsive. He never saw me as a threat and wanted nothing but success for our project. I have a hard time believing outsiders that want to shut him down.

I failed. But he didn't fail before me. And after he succeeded, he wanted me to follow suit... to no benefit to him.

I never got to meet him... but I'd go so far as to say he was one of the most supportive online business entities that I have ever encountered.

As to ties to the Saudi Prince... that makes me cringe.

As to ties to Elan... you all love 4frnt, right? And Plake's Ripsticks?

Nobody cares about where anything is made anymore. We care about designs. And the souls of who designed whatever we wanna buy. Hence, my previous comment about a Bode/Dav designed ski. I'd buy that. I'd be all over an all-mountain ski designed by Dav and tweaked by Bode. Are you fucking kidding me? (It's like Kastle meets Head...haha)

How two of America's most iconic skiers failed to start a ski company... with the support of one of America's most iconic resort developers... really heeds all ears up.

How is Peak not leading the industry right now? That's the real question.
