Nope. That'd be a hell of a task. I'd love to do it, but I lack the necessary knowledge, tools, and equipment. Got it done by a wizard in the woods of Maine, who has the know-how and the forms for practically every wood/canvas canoe ever built (so he can bend the replacement wood pieces to the correct shape to fit). Pretty amazing process, took a year, much of which was waiting for various layers of fill, paint, etc to cure on the canvas.

Thanks! The old 240s have a simple, reliable magic to them, much like a canoe.

I'm struggling to name this Appy. One buddy suggested Red Rocket, but I think I just want to call it "Schwing!" Thoughts?

Bit cool for curing the epoxy for the extra lashing loops, but hope they are ready for a little river excursion next weekend

I did take advantage of a bit of sun to enjoy some flat water at the local lake.

Looking forward to hunting the oxbows of the upper N.Thompson and Adams rivers as well. The 17.5’ Tripper was just too much keel and beam to manage solo for such use.

Very Nice, well out fitted !

We first ran into the NorthWater crew a very long time ago on the lower Shushwap out of Sugar lake, this was before there was a North water, back then we were just impressed that canoers setup any safety at all even if it was just a guy with coils of rope on the banks of the river, they come a long way !

    Canoe Stoke

Since I pulled my dock out and have all my power boats out of the water, I’ve been using a canoe to access my island.

Suzy has epilepsy and gets stuck in the bottom of the boat when the water is cold. We do a lot of paddling in the old river channel in Pinery Provincial Park. Protected from the winds off Lake Huron with lots of critters to see.

Kind of disappointed when the water got hard but the skis will ride on the roof of the car until March or so.

I have nothing to add except that ~15 years ago my wife and I along with another couple paddles the Bowron Lake Circuit in BC outside of Prince George. 1 week and ~75 miles if I recall. Canoeing is such an awesome way to travel and explore. I've wanted to do the Boundry Waters ever since. I wish we had better canoe water around home.
