Thats 6 of the worlds 10 most populous countries (including #1 and #2, who make up almost 1/5 of the worlds population just by themselves) and NOT EVEN COUNTING the EU.
Europe and China can fuck off. They've got all sorts of stupid sports to medal in. Baseball is one of the few sports where many of the best players come from small, poor countries. Cricket and Baseball (if MLB would help out) absolutely belong in the Olympics. Seeing Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic on the top of the podiums would be awesome.

It's awesome how international hoops became good. Watching team USA in the past run away with it or losing because they were not into it was kinda boring. Watching top tier basketball being played in August is special.

It’s too bad Embid didn’t play for France and make it even more interesting. Although Sounds like the boos he got has him switching to France for LA28

I didn't watch the earlier games but Embid in the final was a defense liability. I wouldn't play him on any team.

Men's Street Finals was just about the best contest I have seen. That was sick.
Peacock is a godsend. Just scrolling through events and watching what I want. Bouldering up next.

Baseball games are too long with unpredictable duration. Plus, how many games do you need to play in a two week stretch? It would have to be an amateur team.

Baseball was at the last Olympics?

MLB has discussed the possibility of their players taking part with the LA games organizers, but it sounds very preliminary.

Just set it up like the kids tournaments. Babe Ruth WS happening right now has 20 teams, 4 games each before a knockout round. It takes 7 or 8 days IMS.

I read some interviews with her and it seems she's not a charlatan fraud, she's a little cracked. She probably thinks she's actually an Olympic skier.

Anyone following the ‘Enhanced Games’? I haven’t gone down the rabbit hole yet but there is supposed to be real games full of openly doped athletes. Former Aussie Olympic swimmer is gonna dope up for the 50m freestyle world record. 1M dollar prize.

Others are joining after Paris apparently. Maybe 1000 athletes.

Atlanta opening was the only opening or closing ceremony I've ever watched--to see Ali.

And, oh yeah, Water Polo can go the way of break dancing afaic:

“American water polo player Johnny Hooper was ejected from the quarterfinal match-up against Australia after he punched an Australian player. Officials ruled the punch as a foul called a “brutality."
Funny thing was--Hooper was the one who wound up with a broken nose. Your honor, I pleas self defense. Acquitted!!

Seems to me if the rest of the world can make us play soccer we can make them play baseball. The euros don't want to do it because they all throw like girls. Why else would they worship a sport that bans you from using the most distinctive human feature. (No, it's not the brain.) My German friend, who was a fabulous distance runner and climber couldn't throw as far as I can spit.

I still suffer sinus issues from a fractured cheekbone I got playing water polo. My teammates got revenge for me. I spent the next week doped up on pain killers but never had any other care for it.

Noah Lyles should really stop opening his mouth and calling out other athletes (Tyreek Hill; NBA players) and refusing to do collabs (Antony Edwards) and realize that his window to capitalize on his fame is now and will be shut really, really soon.

    Noah who?

As far as track and field jocks capitalizing on their success--the only method that seems to work is switching gender.

Excellent Olympics all around. I hope that continues on but not so sure the Italians and US can pull it off as classily as the French.
Glad to see Breaking go. But LA, Flag Football? Really? Wonder if we can get some old NFL guys who could still be accurate but can't take the hits anymore out of retirement. Brady or Peyton Manning for US QB?
    Events they should have:
-Stand Up Paddle: SUP is everywhere and could be done at the same venues as rowing (or sailing for open-water races). Way more people SUP than Kite. And frankly Kiting is kinda boring to watch when you are just going for speed and taking away the air-time.
-Trail Running: Just have them run around the XC bike course, jumps and all. That would be awesome.

    Sarcasm??!!!

The LAST thing the Olympics needs is another "judged" event.
Ballroom dancing makes far more sense than break dancing
I made it about 30 seconds into a breakdance, not for me, maybe it's a kiddie thing
