PSA: SKI YARD experience
Ski Yard has killer deals on-line right now. I purchased 2014 Kastle MX83 with K12 system clamps ($1399 retail for $599 shipped, no tax). Great, right? ....Wrong. First, Ski Yard sent me the skis (with rails attached), but did not send me any bindings. I called, and e-mailed. Ski Yard responded that perhaps their employee forgot to place the clamps in to the box and they would send me the bindings, which they did. No problem, right? ...Wrong. Today, the bindings arrived with no brakes. Because they are rail system bindings, and I have a 306mm boot, there is about 1/2" play in the heel which would not be there if the bindings came with brakes. At this point, I would like to either return the entire kit for full refund, or pull the plate, fill the holes receive a partial ($200? refund) and mount with P14, or have them send me brakes. WWMD? To be continued.

UPDATE: While the shipping dept. at SKIYARD is a total clusterf**k, in the end, they came thru. It may take a day or two for some to respond, they do respond and follow thru. The skis, bindings, brakes, all came separately, eventually they all arrived. However, and not my problem, what should have cost maybe $60 in shipping, must have cost almost double that. The owner really needs to have a sit-down with his minimum wage staff.

The owner needs to refund all shipping charges back to you. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have bought tons of stuff from them over the years, albeit only a couple pair of their heavily discounted Dobie WC boots recently. I have had great experiences with all my purchases for what it's worth.

My daughter delamned a pair of 163 GSJ Nordicas this spring. Purchased new, from old stock, from the Skiyard. This happened during a race that was by far her personal best (2nd fastest girl on the hill all ages).
I emailed them with a picture and heard back the next day. They would be covered by Nordica, gave me the RMA, address to ship them to.
Her brand new new stock 2024 164 GSJ Nordicas showed up in like 3 days, basically showed up as we were pulling in our driveway. I hadn't even mailed the old pair in yet because we were out of town during the email exchange.
The experience was actually quite remarkable. Not sure who is more responsible for kicking ass, Nordica, or SkiYard, but mad props to both of them.
