    The Sphere Experience

I feel sorry for the folks that ate acid tonight not fully understanding the immersive experience that we’re embarking on.

You went to Dead Co. last night? Sweetbippy was there. It looked like an Illuminati mind control project from the videos she sent

I wish, a buddy of mine did. The pictures and a few videos he shared were mind blowing. Tripping ballz at the Dead is a hell of a ride but this is a whole nother level.
I part that would bother me? Being inside. I don’t like being closed in on psychs.

Of course I typo’d the original post. They’re, not we’re. Projection on my part maybe haha.

Yeah, I don’t like being around people that much when I’m tripping

Two of my friends were there, but I haven't heard from them yet. I've only seen the real Dead a few times indoors and always preferred the outdoor venues. They wanted me to join them but I couldn't because of travel. I honestly don't have a huge desire to see them and especially inside anyway. This venue seems interesting but it would need to be the right genre of music for me to go and I'm not even sure what that would be.

Yeah, something more couch locked feeling to enjoy the light show trippyness while listening. Dead wants to make me move and experience the people around you in the same mind set. Was never about the theatrics. It was about the sound and scene for me.

The words ‘Dead’ and ‘Theatrics’ are a funny combo, unless you are referencing Bill Graham on NYE, or possibly the Chinese new Years shows in S.F.

Ran into my buddy last night at Twilight that was at all four nights of Phish at the sphere. I think he's still recovering.

The theatrics were all in what I always called the "eyelid movies". What you see when you are tripping balls at a show and close your eyes.

I'm going to state it was pretty damned fun. Hadn't seen them since 1998, and that was the only non Jerry show, so I was really skeptical. And had I seen a GD show with last night's setlist, I would not have made it out alive.

Alas, it is not the Grateful Dead.

But it's like a reunion of sorts, with traditions and people and an energy that's still present. Mickey and the gang were having a blast, Bob looked pretty ambivalent and butchered a few things but largely, it was good music.

And the most painful part? Mayer rips. I said it.

Watching his fingers play that guitar is an amazing live experience. He’s fuckin good.

Wife and I talking tonight about it. It’s not the same. But it’s a reunion of sorts like you said. A really fun one still.

Your daughter will be telling her friends and colleagues how her first experience seeing the Dead was at the Sphere with her dad. She’ll always remember this. Good job Rev. Priceless memories for all.

Well shit…I was taking my daughter on 5/31 until I was informed she had finals the next week! So…if anyone wants two in the lower 300s for 5/31, (I have three but I think I’m still going), let me know.

I wonder if the sphere novelty will wear off eventually or not? So far it seems a success. I know I will be there in the next year or so to check it out.

To save time, start at 3:00. Pretty cool what they can do there.

It’s okay to say it, he does. Still weird that he’s forever part of the GD fabric

I wonder how many clips of different visuals they have. Will it be on repeat by night 10?

The Mrs. and I are going to LV in mid-June. She is giving me a tough time about going to the concert. Not sure how I will handle this
