I rarely eat fast food but I have to say, Homophobic Chicken always has unbelievable customer service. We stopped at the one in Orem recently on a road trip and even my daughter commented on how nice they are.
This makes me even more suspect of their operation.

i been in the back of all of them cuz we get the contracts
you got a server and a bunch of screens running the POS and some bump bars which advance the screens in the kitchen as the kid makes your burger
ever thing is encrusted with grease, the phone is all greasy when you use it, go for a whiz and everything is greasy,
so I'm changing a bump bar and old condiment are falling in the condiment tray
did i mention I don't do FF ?

I just spent $27 for dinner for one person at portillo's in Chicago. That's arguably a step up from McDonald's, but still...

not all McDonalds/Wendys/BK/name it are the same, you have to investigate and assess the individual stores. corporate or franchise? how's the manager? so many factors. a good McDonalds is worth its weight in gold, and they won't fuck the order up. use the app for drive thru though, and fill large group orders inside, for good etiquette.
anyway there is not so much brand-level consistency as store-level consistency IME and I eat a lot of this garbage. a good X is better than a bad Y, whatever fast food names you swap in.

Spot fucking on, I have a Burger King near me that has had the same manager for 10+ years. She runs a tight ship and I’ve never gotten a wrong order. Problem is that I don’t really like Burger King, but yet I go there because they don’t fuck it up. When food is marginal the little things like service can push one location over the other.
I do have to acknowledge that CFA has their shit together, but I just can’t bring myself to go there. Call it woke or whatever, but as a parent of a child that is gay I can’t buy their shit.

I was forgetting starbucks, back in the day I was the guy converting every starbucks in Vangroovy to a 4680 POS system from some old non-communicating piece of shit
show up at 10pm very night, after shutdown packup all the old shit, unpack all the new shit and make it run or you couldn't go home to sleep. It actualy work pretty well, the Starbucks corporate guy had the earings/ was in cutoffs and a ball cap which at the time was not what I was used to but we werre all cool
at 1 am the empty milk bottles were kind of sour/ annoying but otoh there was no greaseLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Lol, there's a great BK near me also but similarly... it's a rough proposition to convince me to eat off that menu. Once in a while I'll get a whopper though and it's always bomb.
My first experience with CFA was as a consultant for an at-the-time elite software shop, highly socially progressive/woke/whatever you wanna say - monoculture, but I was part of it. CFA had just come out against gay marriage publicly iirc and I had never eaten there before (being from the northeast originally), and I was on principle opposed because fuck that. The first person who convinced me to try CFA was an openly gay hawaiian computer programmer in Atlanta, and when he suggested our team go there for lunch I was like "for real? even with what they're about these days?" and he just looks at me and smiles and goes "yeah but have you had the chicken?"
No moral to this story really, that dude was a way better programmer than me though, and I have used that anecdote to justify countless CFA spicy chicken sandwiches to myself.

Never go in the kitchen. Don't care if its the corner diner or the best 5 star restaurant in town. You don't wanna know.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

actualy I worked in a macdonalds when I was 16 and their kitchen was probably the cleanest of all the greasey burger joints
I used to deal with this manager at a burger king he was an ok guy maybe kinda stressed/ greasy uniform/ greasey face/ greasey hair and of course everyone in the place had bad acne
fast forward half a year and I run into buddy at Starbucks, he is the manager wearing the tan shorts/ black golf shirt/ stylish hair cut/ casual type starbucks uniform/ his face had cleared up he looked way better so i ask what he is doing here ?
he said " I had been doing that job for > 10 yrs and eating too many hamburgers, doc said if I didn't quit it was going to kill me so i moved over here, they have good training not on the job and its the same POS system "
but its all bad for yaLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

It was a very long time ago (early 90s) but the McDonalds I worked at was kept very clean. It was the mom and pops where you were rolling the dice, at least back then. A friend of mine’s family owned an Italian place in town and we went in to cook ourselves food after drinking all night a few times. I was horrified at how filthy the kitchen was compared to the McDonalds I worked at.

I worked in all sorts of kitchens for years until I was about 30 and the cleanest, by far, were the big casino kitchens in Tahoe. Every day each kitchen that was used was emptied, scrubbed, and steamed so that when you came into work the next day it was like a new kitchen other than what was created before you got there that day. That was nice after the variety of environments I'd been in up to then. A few that were new weren't bad but after a short time the difference in the daily routine showed, those steam hoses kicked ass.

I worked at a DQ in high school and it was immaculate. I had to tear down the brazier and degrease and clean it every night. Everything was degreased and cleaned. All food items for that day’s service was discarded and replaced the next morning. I even drained, degreased and cleaned the deep fryers every night.

I went through a McDonalds drive through at 4:00 AM a few weeks ago at the inbound approach to the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City. Friendly, polite, the place was clean, and the food came up hot and fresh. Good group of young people manning the place. It was like they were working the available hours because they were trying to save money for something like school. Those kids are gong to make it in the world. There was another one in Jersey City at the head of Grand Street that I used to jokingly call Black Donalds because of the neighborhood. Id roll through there at 2 AM and the staff was polite, courteous, no littler or trash anywhere, it. was just a good place. I commented to the manager about the appearance and attitude of his staff in the wee hours of the morning and he was more than thankful to hear my praise although Im sure he knew exactly what was going on at that time of day. Good people make the difference.

I’ll never judge someone for not eating CFA. It’s my sole fast food guilty pleasure (unless you count Filet O Fish meals during Lent which, when done right is top of the trash food mountain), and road trip food go-to both for spotless bathrooms and service. Know many people in corporate and it’s insane how tight that ship is run. Their employees are loyal as the year is long.
But yeah, regular CFA Sammy with 3x pickles is the shit.I still call it The Jake.

I ate at the Truckee McDonalds a day before I flew to Boston where I came down with raging GIs and we had to give away our tickets for the Wings Bruins game my son got me as a Xmas present. I've eaten there a couple of times since but I've never recovered from the emotional trauma. (Last game of the season, both teams on the bubble, Wings won but missed the playoffs anyway.)

I thought McRib was the top of the trash food mountain.
I’m shocked how many of you visit the arches. Only two things I’ll eat there is egg McMuffin and hash browns. Even their coffee sucks.
I’m not shocked by how many of you politically protest CFA. It is the pinnacle of a simple chicken sandwich. With many good sauce options. Rather than support a religious owned restaurant you prefer intestinal colon blow from a clown with red hair in a yellow dress. I guess that’s the definition of intestinal fortitude.Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
