    Gripen, we will miss you.

I write with a heavy heart that my brother Gripen passed peacefully in his sleep this morning after a two year battle with cancer. I have no words to say how much Ethan will be missed, but I know he was a large influence to many. This forum has been a massive support system for him during his battle, and I cannot thank all of you for that.
As he passed, the snow began falling here in canmore, so I know he is making some heavenly turns right now and he shared that with us all.

RIP, Gripen. You are always in our hearts and minds.

Condolences to you, Sonja and your parents. You all rock for the support and love during this ordeal.

His stoke will be missed. Will pour one out and drink one in his honor tonight.

Never got to meet the man, but at one point PM'd him about life in Golden and job opportunities. His response was way beyond what I expected from a stranger, complete with an offer to show me around town, put me up, whatever. Obviously just a genuine, quality person.

Seeing the compassionate response to Gripen's battle here on this forum is an illustration of why this is such a great place.

RIP, and all the best to family and friends.

Fuck. He brought the stoke. Even when he was hurting. A real inspiration. Hats off to ya vig, and to all who got to hang with him.

I am blown away.....I had no idea he was sick again. My sincerest condolences to his family for the loss of a really good guy, way before he should have left us. C sucks.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Viggen, my condolences to you, your family and Gripen's wife.

Gripen was a kick ass skier and a genuinely nice guy who had time for everyone. He always had a smile on his face whenever I met him, through the good times and the bad.

It was an honour to have met him. May he always have powder days from now on.

Man, really sorry to read this. My deepest condolences to you, and the rest of your family and his friends.
