The run game should be at least serviceable with D'Andre Swift and the defense could be a top 5 unit with arguably the best secondary in the NFL. Montez Sweat is a beast on the edge.
How can he be a “full stop” stud before he’s taken a single real NFL snap?

By my count, the Browns have had no less than 8 quarterbacks that were declared a full stop stud before taking a single NFL snap.

The Bears should be just fine using that as a real life example.

He had a better college pedigree than Caleb Williams... just saying.

Bears fans need to chill with the expectations right now.

He'll have a good few games before the DB's catch on he's staring down his receiver.

I mean, I'm not, but you bet your ass Jimmy Haslam and the rest of his followers thought they had the next big thing with Johnny.

"Heisman" and "Intangibles" is what they would say. Shit, I think the Browns went undefeated in the preseason when Johnny Coke Habit came to town; how couldn't you see he was the next full stop stud!?!

Speaking of Johnny, did anyone else watch USC-LSU last weekend? At one point they showed a wide shot of the booth and Herbstreit had his dog in there, completely passed out. Rece Davis asked him what the pooch had been up to to be so tired and without skipping a beat Herbstreit said, "I think he's been hanging out with Johnny Manziel." I was fucking dying.

Johnny Full Stop would have been a decent nickname.

Fans will drool over the big plays from the start, but I won't be surprised if he is more like Kyler Murray than Pat Mahomes.

    Yes it would.

Reminds me of a kid that used to run around in high school who some of the dads referred to as “Blocked Punt”.

Season kicks off tonight with a rematch of the AFC Title Game.

Most importantly, is T Swizzle going to break up with Kelce before or after the game, or will Travis be doing the dumping spawning at least 2 more albums from Taylor?

Man Isiah Likely was rolling around on the ground like he had just lost a limb - ONE play later, he makes a circus catch that would have brought the Ravens to within 1?!? if he had just clipped his toenails that morning...

    Pretty good kickoff game!

Kinda sad no one really tested the new kickoff options but whatever I guess.

I remember when they would start at the 20..

but if the new kickoff can yield big plays or an extra 5 yards compared to the previous spot at the 25.. why not just kick it out of bounds every fuckin time? if your kickoff scheming changes because of 5 yards then you have a bad football team. I want to see more of the new kickoff but the risk isn't worth the reward and moving them any further forward would be lame.

was fun game to watch, entertaining for sure. i like the new kickoff set up. seems alot more dynamic, i think teams will press the plays later in season once players feel more comfortable with it.

The Ravens didn't think the TD should have been overturned: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...d-td-vs-chiefs

In other news, all the Ravens players are visiting an optometrist today.

Is it too much to ask the refs to call literally anything on the Chiefs o-line? They had at least 10 false starts, not one called. Meanwhile nitpicking the Ravens for a matter of inches in their formation.

(For the record I had money on the Chiefs but I’m not blind)

It only adds to the conspiracy/semi-reality that the NFL wants the Chiefs front and center. The storylines are starting to feel a bit like kayfabe.

Don’t get me started on the Chiefs not being called for holding even once during the Super Bowl. Yeah there’s some holding on every play but it was egregious.

I didn't like the Chiefs before but now I'm pretty much hating them. They've reached a TB12/Patriots level of annoyance to me - the crowd, the owner, that stupid tomahawk chop and white guys beating on a drum, the home cooking by the refs...
