Bet that I can send an ollie by Sept 31, 2024: Hubris or possible?
I'm 42 and haven't skateboarded in over 25 years. I was a poor skateboarder back then and did no tricks. I don't even own a skateboard yet. That said, I have a high level of foolish hubris.
Training will probably begin in May when ski season is over so injury wont take turns away
What are my chances?

I give you 98% of getting the back wheels off the ground and landing on your deck. Not that hard to do an Ollie as a coordinated adult. A good moving Ollie is another beast.

at the very least, it should hold the madness and malaise at bay for a few months.

I bought a longboard when I was about 42 years of age. It seemed like a good idea at the time

this guy has some pretty amazing tutorials. I both hate him and secretly watch and pay attention to everything he posts. Kids have it so easy nowadays. heck of a lot more effective than trying to figure out tricks from a sequence of photos in a mag. A couple are labelled "ollie" and he gives some key pointers.27° 18°
