Emailed Cast, though was going to ski these tomorrow so thought I'd post here first figuring I was completely missing something simple in the setup.
Trying again now, with or without the square spacer, the post won't go deep enough! I don't have callipers but the Cast posts appear to taper out slightly more than the stock posts.

Maybe this is helpful, maybe it's not.

Ok! We have more information.
I borrowed a friend's Cast 1.0 toes with the same purple/pink colour as Eluder (they were purchased ~1year after mine).
1. The purple toe pieces fit on the Cast 2.0 AND 1.0 pedestals.
2. The orange toe pieces fit on the Cast 1.0 pedestals BUT NOT the 2.0 pedestals.
3. Eyeballing it, there is no observable difference in dimensions of the orange toe pieces, so I suspect this is down to <.5mm of clearance that alters the fit.
4. The pedestals of the 1.0 Casts are noticeably narrower than the 2.0s and are very close to my stock pivot pedestals.
No message from Cast so disclaimer that this is an perspective of 1. I would overall advise buyer beware here unless you have the newest pivots, as clearly the compatibility is not the same with the 2.0 toes.
I really don't want to buy new pivots so will see what cast has to say

I got a reply from Cast saying that the delta is the same as stock pivots… so 1mm for gripwalk? Hopefully this helps someone else out too.

tupp_, any updates from CAST on your case? Curious cause I have the same yellow-orange 1.0 pivot toes.

Sadly they said to mail them in. I can't do that as I'm off on a ski trip (the purpose of the Casts in the first place) so I was forced to get a new pair of pivots. I just dropped the new toes on and kept my yellow/orange forza 1.0 heels.
When I am back, I will measure them with calipers and send the measurements to Cast. Might send them the bindings too, tbd. Sorry I don't have more for you!
For what it's worth, the new toe tracks are really nice. Reaaally nice. I never used Cast 1.0, but it always looked like a janky program. The quality of the 2.0 toe mechanism feels like it is from a "real" binding OEM.
The brake retention latch was acting up in the shop but performed well on the skin track.

I finally got some good use on problematic snow. Conditions: 3-5” of fresh, rapidly warming in the sun, frozen in the shade. I did 3 transitions and all went super smooth. All factors were an improvement over the previous system, especially getting the tech toes off. It was nice to not have to use the pivot toe as a hammer. I attempted all the stages of the process like a dumbass (which is easy for me) and only had to remove a little snow near the crampon fitting with my glove while installing the pivot toe. Everything else was pretty brainless. This was expected as cast mentions it in their video.
The tech toe functions are also noticeably improved. Stepping in with my gripwalk boot was simple and an intuitive, without having to do any modifications to the interface. I only had to try twice on one foot, once while on a side hill. I'm sure this can be component dependant, but it's something that annoyed me on the first version.
I don't have a ton of use yet, but they are a big step forward in refinement at this point.

^^thats promising. Good conditions to try them with the melt freeze snow. Does anyone have any updates on the model year of pivots we'll need for 2.0?

Put these on new skis which I was reluctant to take out in our low tide conditions. However it is snowing now, and I've had them out a few days at the hill and gone for a couple of small, low commitment walks.
First impression: nailed it.
It feels like all the little issues I had with the 1.0 versions has been addressed.
- The tech toes feel secure. I had some issues with coming out of the 1.0 toes on icy sidehills.
- They click in to my boot much more easily than the 1.0 ones
- The touring lockout doesn't seem to over cam and get jammed (time will tell on this one).
- So far super slick switching modes due to the toe 'puck'
- Had a little bit of melt freeze today and no issues with the latch or anything else.
Brake retainers seem to be same-same as far as I can tell.
Things I am excited about:
- I mounted these on inserts - now I can have the option of Dynafits for "real" touring days.
- I'm cheap and having inserts means that I can reuse the second ski kits on multiple sets of skis, while also getting flat skis for easier storage.
- The mount was easy compared to trying to get the studs dialed in perfectly for the 1.0 toes.
I will be skiing these 4-5 days a week, so should have some insight into durability by the end of the season.

Another small walk today, and I noted that you need to clean out any snow behind the puck before you remount the ski toes. NBD, there's not anything to catch it, so a quick swipe with your hand or the edge of the binding plate if it's icy.
Otherwise it gets caught up between the purple plate and the puck. Easy enough to fix, but could set you up for a lost toe as it can prevent the catch from engaging.
Probably obvious, but I'm playing the "be dumb and see what fails game" with these...
