Question on Quiver Killer Strength
Hey Everyone, I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts on quiver killers. Currently I've got a pair of Moment Deathwish's mounted for 22 Designs tele bindings. They previously were drilled for pivots (I'm not super sure how far apart the holes are, I haven't pulled the bindings off to check).
I'm thinking about installing quiver killers for both sets of holes, that way I can use them as tele's or run pivots for alpine boots. I would only be reusing holes that have already been drilled in the skis.
What are peoples thoughts? Do I have a deathwish?

A standard use case of inserts. Go for it

I have about half my quiver drilled for outlaws and pivots with inserts installed. Highly recommend this

When done correctly inserts are the ticket. I have all of my skis mounted with them even if I don't plan on removing the bindings.

Do you all insert users use epoxy or wood glue on the threads of the inserts? Are you using anything on the actual binding screws?

Thanks for the feedback!
Shoutout to BeHuWe, considering the deathwishs are the ones you sold me, just gonna reuse the same holes you put in em!

Epoxy for the inserts when going into the ski and vibra-tite for the hardware holding the binding to the ski

Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Any different than doing helicoils? I have a helicoil tap.

Inserts are way better than helicoils. The inner surface of an insert is machined.
The hardest thing about inserts is getting them perfect. They need to line up almost perfectly for all the machine screws to go in with the proper tension.

Not just position, axis also. I've found it's way more important to have the drill perpendicular vs positioned exactly correctly on the ski.
There are......ways of making things line up if you screw up one hole, but more is a problem.
