    Best traditional directional 110-115 ski

Fun and surfy ski wanted but with a mount of at least -9 . Think 6-12” Utah blower with cat track runouts between groomer and low tide days. Prefer no metal, surf in pow and rail groomer back to the lift on cat tracks Those who know will know my home mountain and the layout I like to Support the indies and I have protest and billy goats Ok go

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

"Fun and surfy" and “traditional directional” are a bit at odds IMO, but I’ll throw out the Wren 110 Pro and the Heritage Labs FL113.

The heritage lab 113s are the best ski i've used in this category.

Moment Countach - I have the 188 and it's exactly what you're describing. And with CAST it's decent in the slack. I'm taking it on a 4 day hut trip soon.

Not really. When that tail sinks a little and all that ski in front of you starts planing, that's kinda what is going on. My Q labs mounted -2 are like that, but that's old news.

Also, whyturn, proper grammar saves lives. Use it.
    No longer stuck.

I appreciate the input and corrected my grammar To me this ski is like a 110-115 megawatt Pintail with a lot of rocker and no metal Who makes a narrower megawatt? I tried lotus but not really the same thing Never tried QST but did not like the Solomon’s I’ve tried Not a fan of volkl Mfree is interesting but reviews say more Freeride than traditional I have mindbender 99 and next waist is 116 in my billy goat

Blizzard Rustler 11. I haven't been on the latest iteration, but the original is the best carving fat ~115 ski I've been on.

With your description do you really mean loose instead of surfy? Skiing the type of snow you described and what you want, loose comes to mind more than surf. A lot of traditional, directional skis are not very loose. To me that means slight tip rocker, camber and a flat tail. Now more directional yet pivots easier ok. That ski will be tip/tail rocker with some camber.
Honestly I hate to sound like a broken record but you would be doing yourself a disservice to not get on the 192 Mfree 108. Maybe the HL R110 if any are left, it’s pretty progressive tho. For the conditions you describe the Mfree ticks those boxes. Maybe the Enforcer 110, hear it isn’t getting made anymore but from some really good skiers I know that ski it, it is really close to what I think you are looking for as well.
    Idk, maybe I’m way off.

Good point on loose versus locked in Surf is relative to ease of tail release Maybe I need to try mfree 108 Why not a narrow megawatt at 130-110-115 with a lot of nose rocker

    Best traditional directional 110-115 ski

Nailed it, even if ironically, on the first post.

Praxis RX all the way. Dimension wise it’s very similar to the older bill goats but has a much longer radius at 32m, which IMO gives it a much more surfy feel in pow.

It’s 1mm outside your waist range but that dimension is peanuts.

Praxis GPO. Mine surf in pow and rail soft groomers. I have had a few generations of Megawatt and the GPO skis pow almost as good, and skis everything except pow 10x better.

If you have a Protest it is a great compliment to that ski for what you are describing.
