That guy was way better than NWS when it came to local forecasting. But you be you. Classy as usual.

    RIP Howard.

RIP The Dweeb, best Sierra forecast ever. No hype, and he would nail the long range. He will be missed.

Damn, RIP Howard. You will be missed.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    Very sad to see this!

I always get my Mammoth weather from Howard and the snowman. He was always way better than NWS.

    RIP

Hope to see this view soon!

It is amazing how geographic zones can change.

When I was living in Tahoe and driving to and from Vegas I always used the 95, which is a pretty tripping drive.

Who skis at mammoth? No major cities within 4 hours and not close to a big airport and has to compete with Tahoe resorts. Doesn’t seem like there’s enough population to keep a resort that big going, but doesn’t seem to be an issue. Who is there?

I was going through some “old” pics and I came across these.
It seems like so long ago even though it wasn’t.
