WTB Tall guy ski pants
Looking for hardshell, uninsulated ski pants for inbounds and backcountry. I have been skiing/touring with a pair of L Stio Raymer pants that work well but are embarrassingly short.. I don't know the specs but I think the inseam has got to be either 33" or 34".
6'5 ~200 lbs. Normally wear 34 (waist) 36 (inseam) pants. Does anyone have something that would fit the bill? Recommendations would also be welcome in case I go searching for brand new. Thanks

I have patagonia snowdrifter bib that im selling but theyre mediums. A large snowdrifter is that type of fit, longish inseam and fits right in a double duty inbounds/backcountry slot, is your size by tge sounds of it
My other patagonia pants are more of a shorter inseam type fit which was what i was hoping for and my older mediums had a bit bigger waist than the snowdrifters. Snowdrifters sound like your fit. The large is 34-35 waist and probably 36 inseam. Worth a check i guess

Well if you like Stio, they make the Environ in a long in the blue or green one.
Ortovox 3L Ortler comes in long also but they seem to be out of stock (because I’ve been waiting for those).Well maybe I'm the faggot America
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda

I’ve got some Patagonia Untracked pants, medium, like new, dark blue that might work well. I’m 6’1” and 155lbs and they’re amply long and large on me. Gore-Tex 3 layer.
I can measure the inseam tonight.

I am 6'4" 195lbs. I feel your pain.
Trew bibs in a large Tall work well with the suspenders nearly maxed out- the back cuff of the pant hits about 1" off the ground which is perfect IMO. I used to buy Saga's outerwear because it was the longest fitting stuff on the market (35" inseam standard), but they went out of business a couple years back. Unfortunately, most Tall sizes are only 34" inseams which probably dont work for you. Id suggest looking at tall-fit bibs so that you can mess around with the suspender lengths (even add some length with a sewing machine) to get your best fit.

6-4 and 215 ish here. 36 waist. Strafe Capital pant works for me in XL. Plus I like the suspenders. $147 on the Goateffer currently in a darkish blue. More soft than hard shell tho.

6'6" 220 Norrona lofoten XXL. Try XL or XXL. Lofoten has a 'technical' fit, lofoten pro has a 'regular' fit.

Montbell Japan has their alpine pants in regular, short, and long versions. Plus the favorable usd to yen ratio puts them at about half price. The sizes are different from us sizes but they post garment measurements for everything so just base your order off of those.

@grinch
Yes L snowdrifter does look pretty good
@plugboots
I don't mind my Stio pants but looking at the Stio size charts even a tall pant is 34" inseam. Mine must be 32" lol.
@birdboatguy
I doubt a M will work
Yes it looks like a XL-L would fit well.
Thanks all for the suggestions.

Hey-o,
6’7” 200lber chiming in here. I don’t have any for sale, but I feel your pain. It’s been a quest for me. But the holy grail(s) imo have been found:
For resort riding I wear Klim brand togowotee bibs in a large tall. These are snowmobile pants, they’re expensive, they’re gore pro, and then come in tall. I believe I have an XL tall, as the larges weren’t quite roomy enough. They are incredibly comfortable, burly af, and super waterproof (which is important for me cuz live in wa and ski in southeast Alaska a lot). They’re uninsulated, but they run a little warm cuz they are burly, so I wear super thin long johns. The venting is epic, crotch vents and big size zips, so on big resort hikes u can just blast the vents open and party on.
I also had a pair of xxl saga bibs that were gifted to me, that with a belt were super servicable - looked good, felt good, not super waterproof. If u don’t live on the coast, they’d work good and be a lot cheaper.
For touring I found a pair of older model arcteryx soft shell pants (nwt) right here on TGR in large tall and they are awesome, but they have discontinued a lot of their tall pants, so I’m not sure they still sell the right gear in tall lengths, but worth an investigation.
Just like for livin that tall guy life, not skiing, the new rei pack lite gore shit comes in tall sizing and fits awesome. It’s cheap too. I’m got the jacket recently, planning on keeping as like a touring shell if it looks like the precip will roll in. Anyway; hope this was helpful

WTB Tall guy ski pants
6’6 195 lbs here.
I prefer to wear rain pants as I tend to run hot when I ski. REI has rain pants in tall sizes. I picked up a pair and like the length/fit.

6'3" and wear 34" inseam pants... found the Patagonia Powderbowls to be the right length for me. They're an older model, so I tend to scoop them up used on ebay or elsewhere. Black Diamond used to make its Dawn Patrol softshell in a 34" inseam, which fit well too. Too bad they don't make them anymore. OR Cirque IIs are supposed to be hella long (and cheap) but I haven't personally tried them.

North face freedom pants come in tall sizes. They fit me good at 6’3”, 195 lb.

STP has some fairly good deals on north face futurelight stuff. Pretty sure they're offloading anything "futurelight" due to some litigation from some artistic infringement lawsuit or some BS. Anyway, pretty stellar deals as they purge it all.
I have the same pant in an older and different size. I'm somewhat gangly at 6'1 and get away with the large, regular. If you went XL and went with the long version, I think you'd have some luck:

They definitely have the wrong MSRP listed.
Plus the red ones will make you ski faster.

6'6" with 36" inseam and I second the strafe recommendation. Now that I think about it pretty sure I have 4 pairs of strafe pants. All XL and all long enough.

6’8” 195 lbs
Also recommend Strafe pants. I got a pair of Cham in XL a few years ago and they’re great. Also have Arcteryx Gore Tex XCR bibs in a large tall that I wear most of the time. I’m not sure if you can find them anymore. When mine wear out I’ll probably have to start ironing on patches or something.
We’re not talking about jackets, but I found a jacket a few years ago sold by Black Crows that has 39” sleeves. It’s not even sold as a tall, so I’m not sure what’s up with that, but the material is ultra waterproof, somehow relatively breathable, and zips open from ribcage to elbow if you need it.

6’-7”, 205 lb 34x36 pants. I feel your pain.
Noronna Lofoten pants are the best for me. I bought a pair of Flylow Chemical Large Tall but was really disappointed with the quality. Poor stitching and easily cut by a ski edge. The Norrøna gear has been bomber.
