Resorts that allow parking lot camping?
After having a less than enjoyable experience getting woken up by Squaw security a few years ago at 1 am and being told to move I'm wondering what resorts allow/don't allow parking lot camping. I'm just talking about crashing in the back of my pickup for a night or two storm chasing, not erecting a small Everest-esque base camp.
Washington
Alpental - Allowed
Stevens - Allowed
White Pass - Allowed
Baker -?
Crystal?
Tahoe
Squaw - not so freindly
Kirkwood - Allowed
Alpine Meadows - Allowed, although I did wake up to the parking lot attendants getting ready to move my truck for me because I didn't park facing the right direction...

you can park overnight at A-basin in the mini-lot on the side of the road near the CDOT shed, and there are always RVs in last chance lot...

Crystal does in the lower lot (C) but they charge for hook ups.
Alpental is now charging due to lot 3 stoopidity.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

On my summit trip I slept in the Squaw lot with out any problems, other than it being the shittiest bright lot in the world. Kirkwood follow the instructions and you're good. I slept at Snowbasin as well with out any problems and it was nice and dark.
Move along nothing to see here.

I think Taos was 14 days?
Tresckow?? can I get a little help here....either way it was either 7 days or 14, and there was people who would have like satellite tv and stuff set up in the back of their trucks running generators out there.

Bachelor allows.
Hoodoo charges, but you can camp in the Ray-Benson sno-park 1/4 mile away for the price of a sno park pass.
Will Pass is a sno park as well.

I haven't had trouble at Winter Park on the WP side, but signs warn against it on the Jane side. I've heard, though, that you're fine even in the Challenger Lot as long as you don't mind getting moved if it's snowing and the plows are working.

I think it's more about whether or not you get caught than whether or not it is allowed...

don't know the policy but I've seen a few motorhomes (plake's last year) parked in bridger's lower lots, no hookups, go to the bar for those I guess
