KJT do you have pivots on your HBs (or will you)? Do 115 brakes fit?

I actually went with strives on mine but the 115 would work fine.

I always wondered how the old HB122 would have skied with the tip & tail taper that came on the 132. The 132 was too wide, but it had a more versatile flex. Any chance you’ll turn out a hybrid-bent like that?

I think he means a similar shape but with the super soft flex of a hellbent.

he might be talking about both hellbents, which I agree.
the OG hellbent (122mm waist) with the shape of the last hellbent (132mm waist)
the last iteration of the hellbent shared a similar shape with the shreditor line.
I loved my pettitors/shreditor 120, the width of the OG hellbent with an updated shape. One of the best pow skis ive ever been on and surprisingly versatile given how soft, heavy, and wide they are. they skied more stable than their hand flex suggests.

    Hand flexing
Smooth I would say medium soft tip and tail and feels like it transitions nicely into very supportive underfoot. Didn’t feel like it as a hinge point just smooth transition. Has that Stockli feel to it with the rubber it just feels different. Graphics are amazing in person. My son loved the samari demon skull.
Flex reminds me a bit of gen 1 moment Bibby that was flat underfoot. The og 186 Bibby was slightly stiffer tip and tail.

Red bindings mounted. -5.5 from center I guess I have a thing for that mounting point.

I bought strives for my pair but I’m thinking pivots may be the way. Any thoughts from the crowd?

^ Been considering this too to save a few grams on R120s, decided it ain’t worth it (based on nothing science related). Do plan to go read the Strive thread though, for future projects. Can’t not put metal pivots on those big guns.

Haha, I’d go HH, putting those on ZF I think, or black. These look rad BTW.
Just posted a GregL article in the Strive thread, sounds like the MN16 is the best of the bunch, but does retain the sliding AFD.

Can’t go wrong with those two colours though…

I picked up some Strive 14s for next to nothing. Half the price, easier to use in powder, and way lighter than the Pivot 15s I was originally going to go for. Plus they have some delta. (I buy my Pivots in 15/18 for Cast compatibility, not gnar, and I’m not touring these).

For deep pow I like the “clunk” of the STH.

    That’s why I’m going black STH 16 on the R120’s and I’m trying my first Strive’s ever….retro white/red 747 Strive 16’s will be perfect on HB122’s.
