yes I guess negotiating in good faith for the Howard terminal site then having Fisher go behind their back and kill the deal is there responsibility. Fuck Las Vegas and fuck Sacramento too. Vegas will be the smallest MLB stadium in the nation with a tiny fan base. Oh by the way, the Sacramento field is going to be turned into astro turf because so many games will be played on it. Can you imagine an August day game probably going to be about 107 on the field. I hope the Vegas legal challenge goes through, fuck Fisher!!

The city of Oakland has known for more than 20 years, since Jerry Brown was the Mayor, before Fischer even bought team, that the A's needed a new ballpark.
I've lost track of how many mayors have come & gone since Brown, but each and every one 'em made zero progress and just kicked the can down the road.
Especially when they lost the Raiders! Oakland had a decision keep the Raiders who only play 10 home dates a year or the A's who play 81.
They chose baseball and then proceeded to completely drop the ball and lost the Warriors too.
Fischer may be a first class asshole and the absolute worst owner in the history of MLB, but he's not the common denominator here, the city of Oakland is!

Lots of blame on all sides.

And BTW, they’re installing a cooling system for the turf.

I will definitely hit up an A's game if the Padres come to to Sac.

Probably the last game of the year for me. 5-15 loss. Seems fitting for the season.

    Such a great view.

Detroit clinched a playoff spot. They traded away key players at the deadline then became the hottest team in baseball.

I’d love to see a Battle of Lake Erie ALCS.

The Mets and Dbacks need to get their shit together and keep the Braves out. Nobody wants to face that rotation in a short series.

The Mets spent the night in the mucus motel after that stinker of a performance.

Detroit clinched for the first time in a decade - while the White Sox set the record for most losses ever in a season. Great energy in the building during that game.

The Mets are resigned to Stinkerville Prison after that showing.

MLB cancels game 162 for the Guardos today due to weather, denying José Ramírez his chance at a 40-40 season (he sits at 39-41) and even the opportunity for a 40-40-40 season (he sits at 39 2B).

Pissed for him, but I’ll take a deep postseason run if that’s the trade off.

Re Mets @ Braves double-header, both clinch playoffs if they split.

Suppose you're the Braves manager, and maybe both teams each have an available A+ ace starting pitcher and their other available starter is average. Would you collaborate with the Mets manager, explain that the aces shouldn't go head-to-head?

Should word of such a collaboration ever leak, heads would roll, huge fines & suspensions would surely follow, and most importantly, which manager is gonna agree to hold back his ace pitcher to the 2nd game, the possible elimination game?

Thanks and it looks like I was way off-base.

Sale has a good chance of winning Cy Young Award and is ready, but Braves are starting average guy for early game, hoping to win and rest all their best, and only start Sale if they lose.

    Mets, somewhat similar.

Let's all ask ourselves who is most happy about this turn of events. Easy. The Diamondbacks.

Arraez ruins a triple crown for Ohtani this year after ruining Judge’s in 22.

Anyway, what am I going to do for five days? I miss the regular season already.

Just enjoy a few days of stress free playoff baseball. The emotional turmoil of watching your team in the playoffs will be here soon enough.

I have no idea what that's like. Postseason baseball is white-knuckle or nothing for this guy.

Guy starting game 1 vs Mets has had success against them. Braves are hoping he gets the win and they can save Sale for game 1 of playoff series

Hope they become competitive again. It makes the division and league better. Learned years ago not to bet against BusterClick image for larger version.
