As a braves fan, it’s funny that Bunion just noticed: Morton has broken into the top ten and should pass Randy Johnson for fifth place this season or next.
    Huh?

two pathetic teams that don’t want to win. i know everyone here wants to see the yanks win the world series but it looks like it’s going to be the year the twins get revenge early in the postseason.

Nice to start working on your reverse jinx early!

Truth is, the playoffs are a crapshoot. Get to October heathy and you have a shot.

O’s have been seriously hit by the injury bug. Starting 1st and 3rd basemen on IL. Backup 3b (gold glover a couple years ago) on IL. Super utility player and one of the fastest guys in the league out for season. Top prospect of/dh beaned in head, hasn’t played since. Too many pitchers to count have gone down. It’s a miracle they’ve hung in as long as they have

yanks go 4-6 in their last ten and reclaim first.

if judge and soto get out of their slumps while the pitching comes around, maybe they’ll make it out of the first round after all.

32-39 since the hot start and we have the incarnation of mickey mantle in AAA doing nothing for us. if judge doesn’t hit a bomb there is no W and it’s the same story every year.

    I hate this franchise.

Nestor Cortez getting demoted to the Pen didn't seem to sit well with the guy. For what it's worth he's always had Cleveland's number.

Speaking of whom, I've never been happier to go see the White Sox to end a long road trip.

With Schmidt and Gil back, there’s a lot of starters. Cortes has been so-so this year. I see him doing multi inning relief every few days.

I didn’t know a Yankee could write so many words in succession.

The organization must be very proud.

Good thing Judge is a first ballot hall of Famer and the greatest hitter to ever put on the pinstripes.

How you waste him and Soto and the reigning Cy Young never ceases to amaze and amuse this Yankee hater in Yankeeland.

Meanwhile the best team in baseball just keeps winning and Shohei showing there is more to life than just crushing 450+ ft HRs.
    50 50 is in range

They have one less title this century than the Yankees, 2017 aside.

See them winning another sooner given the Cashman junkshow

First thing I thought of when I saw the news yesterday.

In fun baseball news, Guardos rookie who got called up for a spot start from AAA against the ChiSux last night took a perfect game through 6 2/3rds innings - that had to be cool for him.

Is there any better team in history to have your first start against than the 2024 White Sox? Lol

He can open a history book one day and show his grandkids the White Sox record in 2024 and say, "look kids, that one, right there, loss number 112. That one is mine."

I imagine this as old Matt Damon in Saving Private Ryan. “Tell me I had a good cutter.”
