Sox playing like the .500 team they are. Fun series overall though. The Guardos are a fun team to watch generally.

All close games, I’ll look forward to seeing the Sox at the Jake next week for 3. The CG shutout was baller- he was pitching, not throwing.

Leiter is such a good example of how much harder minor league ball is compared to even top 25 college baseball. Coming out of Vandy it looked like he could be a top 2-3 guy for any team in the league, but it’s been a rocky few years in the minors, though it looks like he may be figuring it out this year.

That rotation looks great on paper, but doesn’t look like a rotation that will see all of them healthy together all that often.

MLB Tv's free game of the day is Cubs-Marlins. Hendricks has 12+ ERA this year and just gave up the 3rd longest homer of the year in all MLB in the 2nd.....hope he can get this under control, otherwise his spot really should be given up to Assad who has been super sharp and is the odd man out right now with Taillon back and Steele hopefully soon.

boone just got tossed in the first. he said something to the ump and received a warning to shut his mouth. fine. so he was standing in the dugout not saying a thing about 20 seconds later and next thing you know the ump tosses him saying “i don’t care who said it, you’re out of here”.

the umps are insane. kill one country joe and five more just rise up to replace him.

For his retirement, the Yankees gift the 36 year voice of their franchise with a jersey and a [checks notes] television provided by their sponsor, LG, so he can keep watching the Yankees.

This is now the high water mark for MLB retirement gifts since the A's giving Miguel Cabrera (who doesn't drink) a single bottle of wine when he came through on his retirement tour.

OK, baseball pros question for the collective:

I picked up eight tickets to this Friday’s Guardos - Braves game using MLB‘s preferred secondary market provider, SeatGeek. I am trying like hell to send some of the tickets to people in our group and every time I send it they get the response saying unable to accept the transfer at this time.

    Their app sucks ass.

I fucking hate all of this shit.

SeatGeek is MLB's preferred provider. I can see the tickets in that app. Members of my party can't accept my tickets that I sent them in the app regardless of format (desktop, app, browser, email, phone #).

Some MLB threads say you need to transfer the tickets to MLB Ballpark app; a completely different app than MLB regular app (tv and radio and scores). And that it has to be a specific MLB Ballpark account for that home team with matching email. Done, still no luck.

Ballpark App says use Ticketmaster credentials to log in but gives an error message every time.

Ticketmaster has nothing to do with any of this and the tickets are of course not visible in that app.

Fuck all these people and their shitty apps. Fuck them.

Oh you can’t afford to go to a game or buy merch? Well at least the game is blacked out so you don’t know what you’re missing.
