I don't think I like skiing in dense fog. (Lincoln)
And I may have been the only one on the hill today who can legally drink.

Was the coverage on Lincoln better than last weekend?

Reports are of meh skiing today. I’m considering driving to OV tonight and head to Mammy tomorrow for the day with the kids. We’ve only got Thursday and Friday to ski so trying to maximize.

Sounds like Shirley will be added Friday at PTOV.

Should head to KW tomorrow or just hit Heavenly for a few laps? I haven’t had a day at KW year this season. I’m getting kind of tired of riding chairlifts downhill.

How the fuck would I know? I couldn't see anything
(I only did one run--on Lakeview, which was thin at the top. As best as I could tell Chutes 1 and 2 were ok near the top, I don't know about lower down or off piste. )

Good luck with that clavicle. Been there, done that. Surgery made it all better real quick. Careful not to get on the wagon too quickly. Let it heal a bit.

I smoked my knee at the end of last year. I tried in vane to rehab all summer. I'm in survival mode now. Compression pants under a knee brace. Oh well. Ice, heat, ski, repeat.

It was fun, but crazy busy. Skied 1-4 with the groms and only rode Gold Coast 3X. One ride included a hike up Sibo ridge. Then a terrifying ride down mountain run where everybody in my group was nearly taken out at least once.

I didn't venture over to Shirley, but was told that it's still very thin over there.

Honestly, I think they're doing a great job trying to get stuff open, but I'm afraid of the zoo the next two weeks if they can't get more chairs running.

After hearing bad reports, I thought Lincoln was fun on Sunday. Snow quality was good. Not a ton of sharks and lots of texture/terrain to play on.

Hey, if nothing else, this last storm was great base building snow. Heavy and sticky.

For the amount of snow they have gotten, coverage at Kirkwood was surprisingly good today.

Agree. Chute 1, 2, 2.5, and fingers were much better than anticipated.

Btw, skiing now with a donjoy custom brace (only 2 days so far) and doing ok. No acl and damaged medial meniscus and mcl.

Hope you did it. That was my plan for last weekend, until KW opened 6, then we figured that would be enough. With the very little grooming tho, we never had chill out runs and my kid and I were worked by mid afternoon. Mammoth looks good right now on the upper portions, but also has a ton of longer groomers all set. 23 and 14 open today for even more terrain. If you were there yesterday, then you likely got some pow runs off 12.

^^ Also, now it is *Holiday Horde* time, the KW saturday blackout will be v helpful.
Not so much at ikon Mammy.
Yesterday arvo at Rose was crowded. But they have face runs open now so fun can be had. Natural snow bumps.

Pretty much the 1st time skiing bumps this season as it’s been all groomers so far.

My legs were feeling it by the end of the day. Carving around on the groomed doesn’t take nearly as much effort as these bumps did.

I can see my tracks in that pic.

There were some decent turns to be had. I managed to get the rope drop off of chair 6 yesterday and got third chair up on 10 today.

Glad to get some (unexpected) lift served pow before the Epic holiday blackout.

At least at KW there is more coverage now than there was President's Day 2014. We had a plotless snow back then.
