    SNL Jeopardy parody.

(Featuring a very naughty Sean Connery).

(The stickers I think came from the Beaver Mt. yurtalige retreat).

The next thing we see is byates van on pinterest with a new Autumn wreath that really ties the space together

Saw east or bust and entourage at the Ski Swap- No djongo sightings though. Did anyone get any fun, new stuff?
I got some Black Crows Camox Freebirds for touring with Salomon MTN bindings. They are light AF compared to what I usually tour on.
Then some Volkl race tigers for Andrew. And the greatest purchase for $5.......a mint pair of Alpine Trekkers.
They are more of a purchase for the ski wall/ garage museum but I imagine that Andrew will also bust them out on some gaper or maggot gathering

We also saw a pair of those old K2 Fours- the Red, White and Blue ones in great condition with the little red light, which we tried- and it still worked

I was up and at em and drove by at 705 and didn't wanna wait in line. Came back in 15 minutes and zero line.

Walked in, paid de moniez lebowski, and proceeded to the pole barrels and found 2 pairs of the Lifelink poles.
Not my desired model but in good shape so I bought the cheaper, mo bettah pair for $20 and promptly split after yakking at a few OG JHAF friends.

Went back in 2 hours at The OSU halftime and bought some janky pair of kastles with some clamps I wanted for $25.

    Was a good day.

    Enjoying the flurries everyone?

    My ski mojo is rising...

The Targhee pass system is such a bummer.

When you buy or renew a season pass online you sign a waiver, but for some reason the system only records those signatures for like 1/3 of people. At the start of the season more than half the people in a given lift line have passes that don't scan and they get sent back to the pass office to stand in a 2 hour long line to sign a waiver that they already signed online when they bought or renewed a pass.

It seems absolutely ridiculous. Targhee's solution is to show up to Habitat during trick or treat time on Halloween in order to see if they have have a signature on file for you.

It is such a junk show year after year.

So, If I really have my shit dialed, then on a big pow day, I'm skiing laps while others who don't understand the importance of having your shit dialed, wait over in the multi-purpose line?
Should they be more streamlined? Sure. Can I make lemonade? Ubetcha...

I could work with that. Take advantage of any way to get ahead of the kooks on fat ghee days.
Skiing is not a democracy. Not everyone should get that primo neck deep blower. That's reserved for the dialed in crew.

You had some fat days last December as I recall. It was doing shite over here until Jan. That's anomalous.

I'm gonna guess we all have some deepest days evah this next winter.

Ran into the Ampassador making a few tenative turns at Targhee today, patches of man made with a little fluff on it.

Fat biking seemed more fun, but to each ...

The fact that someone was tasked with a job, and didn’t finish it, that’s called a failure. You can add your justifications all day long about anything and everything you’d like, and it’s still a failure.

Whether or not I get it is probably debatable, but thanks nonetheless.

I'm sympathetic to the problem and it's the symptoms that get us. Getting 'fucked at the drive thru', as it were, def sucks for us all. I'm usually quick to bitch at the inbred ineptitude of ski area managers, believe me.

I've just learned to put the destiny, the fate, of that fresh pow up to me ideally.

    The Solitude Station Access Pass

    Greetings,

The temps are dropping, and the snow is flying… And we’ve got a new product that gets you first tracks all season long. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the brand new Solitude Station Access Pass.

    Benefits:

Early access to a lounge and gear storage via a dedicated access gate at the base of the Sweetwater Gondola starting at 7:45 AM to access your gear, enjoy a continental breakfast, and hang out in a warm, comfortable environment

First tracks… All Solitude Station Access Passholders will have access to the Sweetwater Gondola through a dedicated access gate at the mid-station (just outside the lounge) that will allow you to head up to Casper restaurant before the mountain opens. Once Ski Patrol opens the mountain, the rope will drop, and you’ll have early access to the Casper and Teton chairs. If you’ve ever skied any part of this mountain early, you know just how special this is.

Season-long ski, boot, and gear storage in the new Solitude Station Access Pass lounge

Lunch reservations at the new Trapper’s restaurant. The restaurant at Solitude Station, now Trapper’s, is undergoing some major improvements we think you’ll love. More details coming your way soon!

Two complimentary guest passes per season to bring friends or family up to the lounge with you

The continental breakfast: coffee, tea, juice, pastries, bagels, yogurt, granola, etc. available in the lounge

A lounge concierge will bring you your skis, make your Trapper’s lunch reservations, or schedule you a ski or board tune at a JHMR shop.

The lounge remains staffed with a concierge all day, so you can swing in any time to warm up or throw on your slippers before walking over to Trapper’s for lunch.

At the end of the day you can leave your gear, the concierge will store your skis, put your boots on a dryer, and you can download on the Sweetwater Gondola until 5 PM.

In this inaugural year of this pass and its early mountain access, JHMR is selling a limited number of passes… They’ll go quickly. Pricing is as follows:

    Single Pass: $10,000

    Couple’s (2 people) Pass: $15,000

Family Pass (up to four people): $20,000

Family members additional to four: $2,500 per person

As noted above, we believe these passes will go fast. To learn more and lock in your passes, please call our dedicated Solitude Station Access Pass line:

    888-741-8968

Our team can answer any questions you might have, provide more detail than we can in an email, and take payment.

Thank you, as always, for being part of the JHMR family!
