Hamas knows their system of power, funding and control is based on their ability to control, steal, and charge for aid distribution. So systems that allow the aid to go directly to Palestinians, for free, is a huge threat to Hamas.

Hamas wants to terrorize their own people away from taking free aid, or helping with free aid, that arrives through pathways that Hamas doesn't control.

Hamas's goal is to maintain control of all aid so they can say who eats and who doesn't, thus continuing to dominate the populace and ensuring revenue for Hamas.

Tensions are high. The U.S. admin is evacuating non-essential personnel from embassies and bases in the Middle East and also preparing strike packages against Iranian nuclear facilities. That does not necessarily mean a strike is imminent even though it looks that way. It could mean military action or it could mean contingency planning and/or posturing to effect deterrence. Deterrence because Iran now appears capable of producing weapons grade nuclear material in a matter of days if it so chooses

War has been happening since October 7, 2023 when Revolutionary Guard backed Hamas invaded Israel. This Friday morning's attack shows similar patterns to the Hezbollah strike. This is not limited. There are already at least three waves of Isreali strikes with more to follow in the coming days. Iran will undoubtedly respond. Iran will attempt the most powerful retaliation it can muster. So far however the Revolutionary Guard appears decapitated, there are no signs of Iranian air defenses, no ballistic missiles launched.
