Beta wanted on Antelope Canyon, The Wave, Buckskin Gulch

Next week, the wifey and I are thinking about going camping around the UT/AZ border. near the Vermillion Cliffs We want to hike the above places and kayak a bit on Lake Powell/Colo. River. Initially we will pitch a tent at Stateline (unless you know better), and then somewhere near Antelope Canyon. We just started planning and no no permits. Anyone with any experience in these areas. Must sees? Best way to go about it? Helpful info.? TR to follow.
    TIA

Government shut down could be your friend as no permits will be issued or checked on fed land.

Antelope canyon is on Navajo land
It will be difficult to find camping close. I would plan on camping west of Page.

A maggot at Amangiri...That would be something. Maybe, I can poach the pool.

    Nice pics.

We are going to try to camp at Stateline, spend a day at the Wave and day at Buckskin Gulch. Then drive to Bryce, camp there and head to Boulder for the eclipse and then home.

Seriously, that second pic. is out of this world!

I've had pancakes there once. That entire establishment, although I am not 100% sure that they are associated with The Boulder Mountain Lodge, is strange... in a cool sort of way. I would stay there anytime.

Thanks, I wish I had a real camera because IMO those iphone pics aren't worth framing.

Someday I hope to eat at Hell's Backbone with the wife. Usually it closed for the season when I'm in the area.

kind of a threadjack but don't want to make a new one.

muted or anyone else looking for a 30 mile/3 day/2 night loop in Escalante area for first week of November (cold doesn't concern us- a foot of snow does) in the escalante area with water access in nov.

We were going to do this one but I don't feel like spending all day wading through a river on day 2. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/u...?u=i&sh=2zwf6b

    Any suggestions?
