Any insight as to which the flawed part of the toes it is?

Anyways good with a recall before real trouble surfaces. I mean, I for one haven't heard anything about mtn toe issues, or did I just miss it?

Thanks for the heads up - I have a pair of these for sale in GS so will run through the warranty process before I sell I suppose

Springs break, I broke two on a base camp trip in May.

Pretty unfortunate as I have two other pairs, five yrs old and still trucking. The pair that broke was a 22/23 model.

Yup, same thing I saw on two sets that were both from late 2022 that I mounted in the spring. Seems like most people blew them up before skiing them at least.

Considering how bomb proof these have been before I was surprised and I am glad they are issuing a recall.

So no proof of purchase needed if you have the affected bindings? Just go to a shop and get them replaced?

Alpinist is a good binding. It's underrated.

That's more of a comment on how Marker didn't handle Kingpin issues

So if I'm reading this correct, my black/blue MTNs shouldn't be affected, right? They were bought fall 2022 but I believe they were NOS.

Here are the affected serial number (under the toe piece) ranges according to the "dealer guideline safety notice" sent by Sport Conrad today:

    22P00000 to 22P10531
    22P92954 to 22P99999
    23P10531 to 23P10886
    230600000 to 230769999 (no letters)

This same issue applies to Phantom GT tech toes from 2022/2023 season. I got an email notifying me and chose the option to disable them myself and send proof. New toes are already in the mail.

I was so close to buying these bindings last year, so I'm quite relieved that I ended up going with ATKs.

I already have my replacement parts in hand. I didn't look very close but I don't see any obvious differences, it might be a change in material or manufacturing processes.

So has anybody else warranted these? I have a pair outside the range listed and they look fine. I suspect its a brittle metal fatigue issue due to mfg. defect and from what I've seen the properly made bindings appear bombproof and durable.

If you are outside of the recall I wouldn't be concerned at all. These things have been proven to be bombproof, but if you are concerned bring em by the store you bought them from. Amer has been really quick about getting replacement toes sent out in my experience.
