How to improve my immune system?
Sick Season is around the corner. And I hate to miss on powdays or stellar skiing weeks. Plus the lost days after recovery were I still have to take it easy,
I dont like vegges . I eat fruit. An Apple a day, etc.
can I train my immune system?
Drinking my own urine is not an option.
What else.
I am aware this is the pd. but maybe you have an advice.
I dont take any meds or vitamin atm.

Also not a veggie fan here. Love berries, grapes, apples, bananas. Taking a multivitamin daily from the Costco.
And I wash my hands a freaking ton now after having Covid.

Force feed the most tolerable greens.
Hydrate and train your metabolism to hydrate properly... sweat regularly- daily
refrain from alcohol. It's a poison your body's fighting off
Add some of these to your intake:

Have you been introduced to the benefits of perineum sunning?

Check to see if you have Neanderthal genes. You might be screwed if you do.

Not complicated. Get lots of sleep, eat as healthy as you can, exercise, lose weight if you're fat.
eta: Also, homeopathy, JFC, no.

Fact.
I take vitamin D in large doses. I think it helps?
Going low carb seems to have resulted in better health for me. Supposedly it reduces overall inflammation, no idea if that is true.
Do you floss regularly? Having low level periodontal disease will definitely impact your frequency of getting sick. Flossing regularly and making sure that your teeth/gums are good can definitely help."fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

Vitamins C & D.
Many animals like dogs & bats make Vit C on demand, humans do not, we need to supplement.
You can find home tests for Vit D on Amazon, you slice the shit outta your finger, drip some blood on there, send it in (prepaid) and they'll get back to you with your Vit D blood levels measured in nanograms per milliliter. If you're under 30 ng/ml, you can sun your balls as so delicately suggested by Peruvian, or just pop 10-15K iu per day through the dark months, possibly with a bit of copper for better absorption.
Chaga is the world's most studied medicinal mushroom. Not bad tasting at all, put some in your coffee each morning or make a tea with cinnamon & honey. Not expensive, not gonna hurt you, and unlike many other supplements, it doesn't loose effectiveness as our bodies get used to it so no need to cycle it. Dogs like it too!"The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size."

Healthy sleep habits is goal #1

Minimize stress with intention (actively examine your life for sources of stress and address them as much as possible)
Limit alcohol intake
Exercise daily using a variety of approaches
Decrease processed food intake
A multivitamin a few times a week - can add in daily Vitamin D - could take an additional zinc and fish oil capsule a few times a week
Laugh a lot - you can start by reading the above link about homeopathy

This one. Work out hard 3-5x a week, weights and cardio, preferrably together. Sweat until your clothes are soaked. Stay busy on weekends. Drink a gallon of water damn near daily because your body needs it to replenish and flush shit out. Drinking other stuff doesn't count to 1 gal of water a day. IF you're workiing hard enough, you're not going to the bathroom as much as you might think. If you're peeing every hour because a gallon is a lot, you're not sweating enough. Work harder.
I still drink 2-3 drinks a week, I don't love greens, get maybe 6 hours of sleep a night, occasionally take a multivitiman. Haven't been sick in probably 6-7 years (not counting covid vax side effects, that kicked my ass hard).Wait, how can we trust this guy^^^ He's clearly not DJSapp

How’s your breathing? It’s been discussed in other threads but the book Breath, the New Science of a Lost Art has been incredibly helpful to me. One of the tenets is to only breathe through your nose to get the benefits of nitric oxide that’s produced there. 2 years into changing my breathing, including taping my mouth shut at night, and I’ve never been healthier. Other than the Covid my wife brought home from school last year I haven’t been sick. Wife is an elementary school teacher so I’m exposed to everything. Even my Covid case was much easier than hers.

Are you kidding?!!!! My immune system is top notch after fighting all the fucking bugs those little bastards bring home.
Also, my Fitbit gave me a lot of insight to what my body was doing when I wasn't really paying attention. Sleep, heart rate, temperature, etc..... I have no idea what the hell do to with this information, but it's nice to have.

RE: homeophathic remedies... just cause it may be placebo, doesn't mean the placebo effect isnt real. Your mind has a crazy strong effect on your physiology so while something like homeopathic remedies might not themselves provide direct benefit, they can still effect a very real physiological benefit. If you have the time and money, and do your research to ensure safety, why not add it in to your main science based routines as accessory help if you believe it works?

I have the shittiest immune system and I swear one day it will be the death of me.
Some good stuff in here, except for homeopathy crap, but even then, I've caught myself going down that road due to desperation.
I am OCD so I will add:
-don't skip your annual exam & get blood work done, stay on top of things
-Gut health is imperative to a healthy immune system, among other things. When the gut is weak bad nasties will leak causing an immune shit storm. Take a good probiotic supplement. Lay off the gut-rotting coffee, or at least cut back.
-Have you ever had an allergy test done? Do you know what foods and other shit you might have a sensitivity to, but not actually allergic to? Even something as simple as eggs or certain fruits and veggies can cause inflammation. Fermented drinks or superfoods such as Kimchi, spinach, cheeses, dried meats, avocados can trigger an immune response to some ppl that have a histamine sensitivity, but that might be beyond the scope you are reaching for here.
-Some ppl have physical reactions to stress, avoid stressful situations as much as possible; it's just not good for your health.
-take your hygiene up a notch or two from where it is already- wash those hands & face more than you think, keep your fingers out of your mouth and nose- no picking, don't raw-dog gas pumps, public toilet flushes, (use your foot to flush), public door handles, public staircase railings, hotel tv remotes, anything on an airplane etc. with your hands without washing them immediately after. Those are major vectors. Things like elevator and ATM buttons, grocery store checkout buttons, crosswalk buttons are also disgusting; use the back of your hand, or elbow, not your digits since you can't wash your hands immediately after.
-Avoid highly congested places or minimize time spent there as much as possible and also places where sick people tend to go, such as pharmacies, Walgreens/CVS, hospitals, schools, airplanes, indoor concerts and churches.
Basically just be a hermit and you should be fine. We are a filthy virus spreading species.

this sounds a lot like me already, i am germophobic. involuntary, i am avoiding this stuff for a long time. guess my body told me don't touch this shit cause it makes you sick. i like using the arms of my jacket/hoody for almost everything.
i avoided the allergy/sensitivity test cause i am afraid of loosing products. i get huge pimples from time to time... i was sure it was always a mixture of stress and "bad" food.
maybe i should get that sorted finally. at least know what to avoid and what is a sin.
my stomach is in general a weak link, while studying(alcohol) and working(stress) omneprazol was a routine drug.
but this has settled and is not necessary anymore(once twice a year).
luckily i am dry for a couple years know. ( i improved my performance )
